Remember to monitor your invoice throughout your cruise. During our cruise there were sex items incorrectly added to our invoice; four bar bills plus a $31 dollar charge for the coffee package which we requested in lieu of the Elite stocked mini bar. Also, we were charged $62 for laundry service which is free of elite members. When these charges were brought to the attention of the ship service desk, they promptly removed each of the charges.

Don’t expect go-karts and water slides. They ain’t there. What you will find is a relaxing, comfortable cruise experience shared with fellow cruisers about retirement age. Very few kids which was fine with us. Mainly school was still in session.

Use the Horizon Court buffet saved our holiday!! I have never used a buffer dining as much on other cruise lines, but due to the poor main 3 dining rooms Horizon Court excelled above them.

Make sure you connect with staff. They have many jobs and will remember you. This can result in even better service. Remember you are going someplace COLD. Good socks and shoes are worth the cost.

Be wary of taking ships excursions, they tend to be expensive and not very good value, the shore excursions team are not sympathetic to critics

Do not go on Sapphire Princess unless you hear that the management personnel on the ship have been replaced. The trip turned out to be a very unpleasant vacation. Princess let us passengers, down badly. We have been on 33 cruises with a total of 6 different cruise lines including Princess -- the Sapphire Princess was one of the poorest, if not the poorest, run ships we have been on and communication was next to nil and always incorrect. -- the ship was so poorly managed and unpleasant to be on that I had to increase my SSRI medication and had to take medication for anxiety attacks caused by all the impediments the Sapphire Princess put in the way of our enjoyment. There were so many problem and stresses which accumulated and continued from the first day of the cruise. I will describe much of what we faced, but I could not possibly detail all of the unpleasantness which occurred on the Sapphire Princess as a result of its poor leadership. I also want to apologize because the organization of this message is not as good as I would like it to be, but this cruise experience has drained me of much of my energy.

Infection control. Almost 50% or more were sick with flu and cold so there must be something done about this to circulate the clean air in cabins and outside. Pillows to be plastics which can be washed before new passengers comes in since many are coughing on the same pillows.as t be some thing done about this to control this.
