Lovely time, goes too quickly enjoy what you can just remember to relax. We always have another cruise.

Embarkation

One of the best yet. Was early access assigned and was onboard quickly. After our drive it would have been nice for lounge to have had water etc. But days gone by, it all works out.

Food and Dining

For us still not up to pre pandemic. But ok and will certainly not go hungry in buffet. Total disappointment in Sterling steakhouse. See venue comments. We had a lovely room service lunch on our balcony while in Ensenada.

Sterling Steakhouse

Unfortunately Sterling is a miss. A poor attempt to be a Crown experience. Service was great. The failing for us was the food and atmosphere. A steakhouse at a backend corner of the Horizon court - needs more than a tablecloth to reach a regular Crown atmosphere. Steak quality was a total miss, my husband's Kansas cut was grisly, undercooked, greasy and small bone slivers. My lobster was over cooked and not sure my filet was filet but a piece of round roast overcooked. A real let down as the Crown is usually a celebration spot for special events.

International Café

Love international for a quick bite, nice variety. Very quick and friendly.

24-Hour Room Service

Had room service twice and excellent. Quick, correct and staff very personable. Desert and coffee also lunch on balcony in Ensenada, yummy

Alfredo's Pizzeria

Pizza was great as always. Serve staff was terrific but was slow in delivery and attentiveness.

Onboard Activities

Still miss ice carving and food carving-old standards for cruising, but plenty to do and people watch. Did a craft class and bingo enjoyed it all.

The Shops of Princess

Selection is ok. But don't think you are getting any deals as in days gone by. Even with coupons better pricing can be found elsewhere. Plus with coupons no Elite or other loyalty benefits. While staff is polite not helpful in selections, but have found this in other Essense shops.

Calypso Cove

Great selection even purchased a Sapphire jacket. Had the coupon book for discount, but was refused our Elite loyalty discount because coupon was more. This was something new and first cruise this happened very disappointing that Princess is taking this posture. The staffing is short and new. The clerk was getting overwhelmed with line and help was slow in coming. But he did a fine job.

Beauty Salon

Had my first acupuncture sessions ever with Satomi very nice and had me at ease. Also had first massage with Angie also very gentle and sweet. Was relaxed and enjoyed, even though a few bruises from acupuncture. The treatments are nice but then the sales come, kind of spoils it a little but overall experience is lovely.

Casino

Casino was fine. Did not like the smoking. Drink service was non existent. Selection of machines was OK. Kele the casino host was pleasant and professional in getting our booking free play for us.

Service and Staff

The staff was terrific everywhere. Attentive and friendly. New team came on board so lots of learning going on. Still short staff levels. Short help in the stores and drink service. The need more monitoring of hand washing in buffets. I understand letting up a bit, but it is pretty free willy in laxity.

Ship Quality

Love the layout on the older ships. The promenade deck is super for walking. Sapphire could use more care. Handrails in need of refurbishment, rust and window's are in need of a good scrub. Team is continually cleaning contact areas.

Lovely suite, in a great location. Our steward Grenny was fabulous.

We get early walkoff and it is perfect. We were off before assigned time.
