This review is structured to the first part of the cruise, Southampton to Rome. The actual length of the cruise we did was 37 days from Southampton to Singapore, so we took in ports in Italy, Greece and the Gulf states as well as Sri Lanka and KualaLumpur.
All in an excellent cruise and good value for money
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Very well organised by the port of Southampton
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Good food in MDR and Buffet, good service. We did notice that once the ship had been to the gulf ports the menus became very Asian oriented.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Did not use
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows and entertainers were good, once again as we left the gulf the standard of entertainers fell drastically
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Room steward good although not thorough, most bar staff were friendly and eager to please
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Overall the ship was clean and we were happy with its design
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Size for an inside cabin was good, the beds extremely comfortable and on the whole kept clean
Ship tip
Be wary of taking ships excursions, they tend to be expensive and not very good value, the shore excursions team are not sympathetic to critics
