This was a great cruise. The food was excellent and the crew tried their best to accommodate our wishes. The balcony was large & our stateroom comfortable

Embarkation

We arrived at our appointed time only to see a very large long line. They were checking for medallions & a negative covid test before you allow to enter the terminal.. Once in the terminal it only took 15 minutes to board the ship This process was very easy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate at all of the main dining rooms, specifically Crown Grill & DaVinci & twice at the Horizon buffet. All the food was excellent and we laughed because I had the same desert every night. Warm berry cobbler a la mode. I also enjoyed the escargot.

Our room had 2 twin beds that were so comfortable and was rocked to sleep each night. Our room steward Celestina kept our room very clean.

Ship tip

An older ship that has been updated and was very enjoyable.

Skagway, Alaska

Skagway was my favorite excursion. We had a lumberjack show that rained the entire time & a totem bright nature walk were the weather was better. We saw a tribal clan house and several totems.

Victoria, British Columbia

We celebrated Mother's Day in Victoria,BC. We only had a small time 6 hours in port we took a shuttle into town & walked around & went shopping. If we would have had more time we would have gone to Buchart Gardens & had high tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Our first port Juneau & we had whale watching with wildlife excursion. The bus was a short walk from the boat. We were taken to Auke Bay which was about a 30 minute ride. On our ride we saw bald eagles perched on logs. Once we got to the bay it started to rain. We had a 3 hour bumpy boat ride but we saw 3 humpback whales & sea lions some that were over 800 pounds we were told.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Glacier Bay we saw 3 glaciers the 1st one was Marjorie glacier, John's Hopkins glacier & Lamplug glacier. I was so overwhelmed with the beauty that I got sunburned because l refused to come in from the balcony. I was looking with my binoculars & saw a whale in the bay but the time l got my phone it looked like a log in the distance.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Ketchikan our excursion was a lumberjack show that rained the entire time & totem park bight nature walk that I really enjoyed. We went to a clan house & the totems were beautiful. We were told that a person from another tribe carves the families totem. Also they had an up close demonstration of a totem carver on the ship

San Francisco, California

San Francisco was a great town & we stayed there on the night before our cruise & after. The cab drivers were friendly, and took us to a great place for fish & chips.
