Review summary

Overall it was a good cruise with no major hitches. Only thing was the air conditioning on the ship. Wasn't to impressed with the alternate dining in the Share restaurant. The Crown Grill was excellent as usual. The Voice of the Ocean talent competition was really good.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Being at the elite level embarkation is a snap!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good and the buffets were crowded. Some buffet selections that are usually offered on previous cruises were not available.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Got tired of being annoyed at constant announcements and mail about art auctions.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was excellent and the new production show was one of the best we've seen on a Princess ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff seemed extremely helpful and courteous.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship appeared to be well maintained inside. Crew members were constantly sprucing up.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin steward did the usual good job in taking care of our room and was eager to make us comfortable. He fulfilled our needs without hesitation. The air conditioning wasn't good. We reported it twice to Passenger Services and nothing seemed to happen toward improving it. After we notified our cabin steward it seemed to work a little better. Thankfully we travel with a little electric fan. That helped cool us during sleep time. Otherwise it would have been more uncomfortable than it was. The entire ship seemed to be warm at times.

Ship tip

Take a fan for sleeping. The air conditioning wasn't the greatest.

Mazatlan, Mexico

4 out of 5
Did not do an excursion. Had a nice day in the Golden Zone.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Did not do an excursion. Nice port with decent restaurants. Still a lot of begging/selling going on. Had plenty of tenders to and from the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It went well. Only problem was outside with everyone trying to get transportation
