Review summary

This was our first cruise, I joined my two sisters and my mom. First, the cruise itself was nice; however, the bartenders were rude every time we asked for our drinks which I paid almost $500 for the premeium drink package. The pools were all super small . The restaurants were not too impressive either and servers not being friendly either. And, the most importantly, our room had some kind of bugs where all of us were getting big bites. We raised ourcoern with the staff but they never bother giving us any mediciationn instead of making us pay for it and also, for the whole week, they didn’t even changed the beddings in the book.

Service and Staff

We have some bed bugs in our room and my mom ended up getting whole bunch bug bites on your lower legs. My sister also got few on your lower legs as well as mine. When we raised the issue with the staff, we were told to go the medical center. We thought the least they can do is the accommodate the medicine which was only $13. Instead, the cruise made up to pay and did not axcodkate anything.

I've had a bar tender on the Island Princess that was ice cold. He seemed to not want to be on the ship anymore. I was always hoping the nicer female bar tender would get to me first. She always served with a great attitude. And in my experiences with Princess the attitude of the female bartender is what I've gotten 99.99% of the time. The guy with the cold attitude was a very rare occurrence. I wouldn't let this experience stop you from trying Princess again.

I agree with Irabe...never had any problems with our drink package, always very nice and accommodating...I have never in our 8 cruises with princess have they never changed our sheets daily...

Yea, that doesn’t even sound like princess. They change sheets everyday and if you need it they will even change twice a day. The bartenders I encountered were very friendly. Of course I was friendly and courteous to them. I also had the drink package and they didn’t treat me any different than anyone else. Although there were a significant number of cruisers that I encountered that were extremely rude to staff and servers. For some reason they felt they could be demanding to staff frequently without ever saying please and thank you.
