Review summary

Honestly, I would not recommend Princess to friends / family. My husband and I would not book another Princess cruise again. Here are my reasons 1. We are in our 30's-40's, this cruise or cruise line seems to be geared to an older crowd (60+) There were no fun, younger persons activities on board. Which leads me to number 2. 2. Two days at sea were simply boring as hell. Other than drinking and going to the pool, there was very little for us to do. 3. We really did not get to experience Cabo at all. Princess needs to change their itinerary because such a short time is Cabo was really disappointing. It was the nicest place of all ports visited. and we got to spend no time there. 4. The food in the main dining room was mediocre at best. The specialty dining restaurants we re far better! 5.

Food and Dining

Buffet was just ok Main dining room, just ok, definitely could be better - shimp cocktail, those shrimp were like baby shrimp. Specialty restaurant Share - very good Specialty restaurant Crown - very good Drinks were just ok, not that strong. Only place that made the best drinks was the skywalker nightclub

Onboard Activities

Eh, the activities seemed to be geared more towards older people (60+)

The shower stall could have been a bit bigger, little room to shower properly without banging your elbows on the sides.

Ports of call

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We did a shore excursion booked through American Airlines. Zip LIning. The price was exactly half of what princess was charging for the same amount of time.

Mazatlan, Mexico

ABSOLUTELY HATED IT. The city was kind of a dump and vehicle fumes were too strong. Did a non princess excursion, which was fun.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
This port really deserved 5 stars, but I only gave three because, we were there for a VERY SHORT time. We left at 230. We did a shore excursion that stated at 930. we got back at 1pm. we had to be back on the boat by 115. This left absolutely ZERO TIME to actually roam around the town.

Disembarkation

While it seems very planned, it was a bit disorganized. We were supposed to meet in the Explorer Lounge, but then somehow got shuffled into the Wheelhouse Bar and then we got off. There was definitely some confusion by staff and guests.

This will be hubby and I's first cruise. We are in our 30s and quiet, reserved people. I am really glad to read this review because this is exactly what we want! Two sea days and plan to spend one at the spa. I am sure we can find something to do on the second one ;)

Sounds like you just need to stick with carnival . We took our teenagers 14 and 15 And had people in our group from 28 to 72 and there was something to do for everyone on princess

I'm 35 & I love Princess. It's all about making the most of your vacation. After reading all your posts about the ports you stopped at, it's easy to see there is no pleasing you. You know what's fun on sea day when you're board? SEX! LOTS OF IT ON THE OCEAN. Sounds like you didn't get any..

Doing nothing on sea days is my absolute favorite thing to do.

Love sitting on the balcony on sea days. "Cruising" 😉😉

Maybe you need to find other ways to enjoy your vacation, not so Princess Cruises are wonderful!

I’m on my early 30s and I have to say I enjoy Princess vs any other cruise line due to its relaxing atmosphere. If you want to party all night long, I suggest you book Carnival Cruise as it caters more to a lot younger generations.

We enjoy the sea days. Sorry you don’t appreciate sailing with a more mature crowd that being said it sounds like a Carnival Cruise is a better fit for you. I’d recommend booking during spring break so you won’t be exposed to us old folks lol :)

What activities would you have wanted the ship to have? When we have sea days, we just relax with a good book, or do the Casino. 🤗
