Review summary

Great route. Pack for layers of clothes. Very windy in the ocean and probably no swimming too chilly. Having to have 150 characters really isnt necessary ...

We have Platinum status, so we get on board very quickly. In Seattle they even had a "short cut" for us to get onboard and jump the line ...

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was awesone as they had fresh, line caught salmon at every meal. Choices were awesome. Now, the Crown Grill speciality dining was good but not worth the extra $29/each. Now, regular dining, cheesecake dessert was "the best ever" so we had it often. oh, we r 70 so that's a lot of previous cheescakes. They do have "The Love Boat" , which is an awesome chocolate dessert which i/we highly recommend.

Onboard Activities

We love the trivia challenges but there are many, many options for everyone. Even AA meetings are available

Entertainment

Usual ship fare. They were all quite good.

They were all fantastic ...

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was supposedly upgraded in 2015. We have been on many, almost identical, Princess ships. Our cabin's carpet looked like it was 100 years old and many places needed paint. The Emerald was our last ship and sure looked and felt a lot better. Commodore Romano was in charge so i expected better as well. Did 1 laundra-mat load $3 each wash and dry. $1.50 for soap but u could bring your own flake soap.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Typical balcony room BUT the actual balcony is larger on Caribe deck than the other balcony floors and worth the little extra. This is the same on all of the Grand, Golden, Crown, Emerald, Caribbean, Ruby, Diamond, Sapphire, series. Carpet looked very very worn for a recently updated ship.

Ship tip

Caribe is the best balcony deck ... if you can afford a suite D736 and D737 are awesome. Largest balconies on their ships. Alaska is expensive so suites are too expensive, but in the Caribbean the suites are awesome.

Disembarkation

Fastest ever. We did luggage valet which in Seattle is free (ez check in other ports). Princess does luggage tags, boarding passes, etc. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COPY OF THE FLIGHT PLANS WITH CONF NBR TO GIVE TO FRONT DESK.
