Review summary

Alaska was beautiful! If you are plantinum or upgraded then this ship is a good deal, otherwise it's pricey. The food was so so, better off the ship. The room was nice and quiet and the bed was super comfortable.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The dining room food was very disappointing. The "fresh" seafood and salads did not match up with the menu description. Room service was very limited menu and cold each day.

Onboard Activities

We only did bingo

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Excellent. Note, karaoke after 10 pm should not include children singing mature songs.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
It took to days to get a robe that I pre booked. Room service was iffy.... coffee was cold.

Ship tip

Don't over pack! Don't buy Wifi until the end of the trip, they have a cheap plan then. Do the wine tasting.

take Bonine or prescription mecclazine instead of Dramamine. less drowsy.

I also get motion sickness very easily and was fine on this trip with Dramamine and a wrist band. The roughest part of the trip is Saturday and Sunday, and neither day was very bad. Once in Juneau, the rest of the week was very smooth as we navigated the inside passage. Everyone in my family wore the bands, I was the only one that took Dramamine and everyone did fine. A whale watching trip out of Monterey Bay last year had three out of four of us very sick for comparison.
