Review summary

I was disappointed with Glacier Bay National Park.....it was pretty ...but didn't see any wildlife on shore..( most disappointing there was very little Glacier to be seen.....) I have been to Hubbard Glacier which is more impressive...

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy..fast...organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Dining room...specialty restaurant great...buffet not so much...because too busy...hard to find available table....some guests never move on...saw one group using dining table to play games....I think it would be helpful if they had workers helping to find available tables....not fun holding a tray of food and walking in circles trying to find a table to sit at....( the variety of food at buffet was good ) I did not have an issue with the food....except by the time I sat down hot food way cold...

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Too cold for me to use pool...fitness center good....I think Bingo too expensive

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage show good ....loved the live band wish there was more than one available....disappointed that they would not take song requests...didn't like the DJ....not enough variety...a little boring

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone helpful....friendly.....polite.... hard workers

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout and design nice....it does take awhile to find your way around....seems like alot of times there was a long wait for the elevators ...the ship was clean ....someone was always wiping down things ..

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Comfortable...clean....good size for two people.....enjoyed the balcony

Ship tip

Learn that some elevators do not stop on every deck.....it can be confusing

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
Stayed one night in Seattle....its a nice city to visit...did Pike Place Market ...rode the Ferris wheel.. and Space Needle...( early morning and evening hours price is cheaper for Space Needle)

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
It rained so hard to really enjoy the port but did the Glacier Gardens.. Mendenhall Glacier ...and Salmon Hatchery excursion...it was very nice and a good value for cost of the excursion

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
Another rainy day did not do much in port....did do the Klondike Summit excursion...it was cheap and informative...the bus driver was an excellent story teller....made a couple of off the road stops for a view and pictures...

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Too short of time at this port......did the lumberjack show...fun enjoyable...stopped for fish and chips which was excellent (wish I could remember name of place but I do remember the name of the owner ....it was Paula)

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
No excursion...looked very nice....too short of time ....it was evening time ....a much longer walk into town than was told ... A little stressful trying to get back to ship before midnight...we did take a guided tour around while still daylight in a bicycle cart...it was fun driven by a young woman who was a resident and very familiar with Victoria...she was even able to get us back together with the rest of the family...

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast..efficient...organized...

Very sad to hear this. I was there in 2001. It was amazing and we saw otters, eagles and bears.
