Review summary

This was my traveling companions first cruise and I was convinced it was her last! When we arrived home on Sunday she was already talking about planning another one for next year!! What a surprise! I guess that says it all. Since I have a Platinum card with Princess you know how I feel about cruises. I love how easy they are. This was my third trip to Alaska and it is the state you never get tired of seeing.

Embarkation

Perfect!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Delicious!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
My traveling companion was somewhat disabled. Because of that we kept to the low key activities on the ship. Trivia, shows, Puppies in the Piazza, and cabin shown movies. We enjoyed everyone of them.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
They were all top notch! The magician was wonderful with the audience especially the children! Loved the Motown music (we are that age group)! There was only one stage show we didn't like "In my Dreams" I think it was called? It was the worst one I have ever seen in all the years I have been on Princess, sorry to say. The comedian had me in tears I laughed so hard!!!!

Children's Programs

We didn't have children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Vadie Doligosa was our cabin steward, perfection!!! My companion was on her first cruise and loved him. As usual I wanted to bring him home! Our watress at table 503 in the Da Vinci Dining room at 5:30 pm her named started with a C was lovely and Norman on the last night in the Da Vinci went above and beyond taking care of us.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It is a large ship as expected. It is lovely and my companion and I enjoyed it very much. I felt it was beautiful with not a complaint at all!

Cabin / Stateroom

It was small, but I knew that when I arranged an Ocean View. I just wish it had been on a higher deck. Unfortunately, this is how the Ruby Princess is built. I don't think my traveling companion would have felt the movement of the ship as much had we been a few decks higher since this was her first cruise.

Ship tip

If you are able take advantage of everything you can. It is such a nice ship and the staff is fabulous. My companions disability kept us from doing more. The staff was fabulous about getting her on an off the ship with a wheelchair and I could not have ask more of their patience. No need was left undone. They are truly there to make your vacation that, a vacation. Get on and enjoy yourself! Have a chocolate milkshake! They are the best! The ship is amazing and the staff is entertaining and you can tell they love what they do!

Disembarkation

Orderly. I am a Platinum member of Princess so we had a nice lounge to wait in. When it was time someone came with a wheel chair for my compainion and took us right off the ship and to the bus.
