Overall a great honeymoon trip. Get a balcony since the best part is just sitting out and watching the ocean. We saw orcas, humpback whales, dolphins, otters, and eagles this way. Glacier Bay was great to sit on your balcony as they turn the ship so both sides can see. Borrow a fleece blanket from the pool deck area to help in the room.
Embarkation

We came at the assigned time (they tell you to come at different times depending on your deck) and breezed right on through. Dropped off luggage, went through security, got our cruise cards and got on the ship. We went to our room, met our cabin steward and headed for some food before the buffet closed. As we were heading down the hallway, we saw our luggage coming on a cart to our room. So amazing!

Food and Dining

I wouldn't recommend the buffet for dinner - go to the dining rooms and enjoy it. If you have the time (notably on sea days) take advantage of breakfast in the dining rooms as well. Pizza from the pool deck was good. Milkshakes were included in our "sodas and more package" as well. The grill area on the pool deck would serve specialty items like chowder and fish tacos depending on where we were headed. Keep your eyes out for that.
Onboard Activities

I was really disappointed that all the hot tubs weren't open on the ship. I can understand in rough waters, but this was all the time. Finally the last day of the cruise, they opened the back hot tub that was much larger and for adults. Took too long. We thought maybe we just needed to ask but anytime we asked an employee, they didn't know who to refer us to. You were left in hot tubs that should really only have 4 people in it, but were crowded with adults and kids splashing. I liked that we could check out fleece blankets for the duration of the cruise, but it was hard to find at first.
Entertainment

I don't think this particular cruise was meant to entertain you, since most of the time I just wanted to sit on the balcony the whole time. I'm also just 32 and didn't want to attend a lot of the shows. I did like the movies they played on the deck but wished they played them again in the theater since it was so cold out.

Our room steward was fabulous, the waiters were always very helpful, and the people who waited on you on the deck always said hello and smiled.

I was worried we wouldn't have much storage, but that wasn't the case at all. The closet was very large with lots of hangers, there was a shelving system and drawers and it worked out great. Also lots of chargers I thought, didn't have to take out any additional cords. I just wish the shower was larger, very hard to shave in there, but I do realize I'm on a cruise ship and that's asking a lot. The balcony was great to sit out on and it had a table and 2 chairs. The beds and pillows were absolutely fabulous. I also liked that you could turn off the room lights from your bed, great not to have to get up. Never used our mini fridge but there was one.
Ship tip
If you're an anytime dining couple, I recommend going to Michelango Dining Room - they seemed to have more tables of 2 available.
Very touristy. We absolutely loved the hovercraft excursion we did though. We rode the Mt. Roberts Tramway as well which was nice walking trails, but it was rainy and foggy so not much scenery.
Really enjoyed this port, more fun shops in town. Did the Steve Kroschell Animal Planet Sanctuary - so amazing! Highly recommend. Glad we booked through the ship because we were the last people back. Gave us a chance to see Haines, Alaska as well which seemed like a great area to return to.
One of our favorite ports, booked a seaplane at the last minute when we got to town since the cruise ship's offerings were sold out. Got to see Misty Fjords. Shops on Creek Street are fun.
Disembarkation was very messed up - we kept being led to different places. We booked a whale watching trip with the ship that shouldn't have gone out. It was such rough waters that we had to turn around and return. No wildlife and terrible seas. A guest even fell on the stairs it was so rough. Wouldn't recommend it. Wish I could have seen Victoria but I was just so cold that we returned to the ship after that. I think it's worth booking the Princess Shuttles to get you into town, it's quite a walk and a very short time in port which is why we didn't want to risk it.
I was not aware that you pack up your luggage the night before and leave it out for them to collect. And then you're supposed to be out of your state room at 8am. You get to pick between 4 disembarkation times and I didn't know I would have to be out of the room by 8 anyways - but we tried to keep our leftover luggage to a minimum but it was awkward to carry around the ship. That being said, when we went to meet our group area and they told us that they were ahead of schedule and we could get off. It was quick to get luggage and go through customs, but just remember that 2 ships are disembarking at the same time so requesting a car took a long wait.
