Ruby Princess

7 Night Alaska Inside Passage With Glacier Bay (Seattle Roundtrip)

Sail date: August 28, 2016

Ship: Ruby Princess

Cabin type: Balcony

Cabin number: B326

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Ruby Princess was fabulous; Juneau and Skagway were really good days. Effectively 3 days at sea on a one week cruise 1 day too many. The port call at Victoria was so short that it should either be eliminated or time added (4 hours is too short). Balcony cabin exceeded expectations. Would recommend this ship and Alaska.

"Specialty Dining for 2" bene almost not worth the hassle; it doesn't pay for the full cover charge for 2 people in any specialty restaurant; this fact was discovered at dining. Multiple visits to passenger services to have voucher value posted to account.

Otherwise, good cruise.

Cabin larger than other balcony cabins on other cruise lines; very nice.

Ship tip

In Da Vinci dining room, look to head waiter Ion if you have any issues to resolve.

What deck were you in? I am going to be on the Caribe Deck 10

Alaska cruises have to stop in BC, it's a foreign port. This is a requirement in every itinerary departing and returning to American ports.
