Review summary

This cruise was a special cruise celebrating the 60th birthday of a group of friends from high school.  We were all to be seated at a table every night for dinner but for some reason, that did not happen.  I personally check twice prior to the cruise to be sure we were listed that way and even though I was told we were all together...sadly we were not.  The cruise itself was beautiful and most of the excursions were good but the fact that our group was not seated together which was the whole point of the trip...was not good.  The only evening we all got to dine together was the last night on the ship when the dining room was "open seating".  We had all originally planned to go our own way during the day, catching up when we could, but we knew we would be together every evening at dinner to share experiences - when you're not seated together - not possible.  BUMMER.

So much to do. Be sure to spend a couple days there either before or after cruise. Wonderful city!

Beautiful little city but the double decker tour is just a drive through the town...not really something I would suggest and very difficult to climb up narrow winding staircase for most people.

Did you go through a travel agent or book yourself? If through a travel agent, they should have known to contact the ship's group services dept to arrange your seating. I am a travel agent that has booked many groups and I have never had this problem for my clients.

Did you ask the maitre'D to correct the seating arrangements? Most will, if at all possible. It's harder to do on your time dining, though.
