Fantastic Cruise

Sail Date: May 28, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

Ship is in very good shape. Very very few shopworn areas.

Pros: The wonderful, friendly crew

Cons: Poor descriptions in Patter of daily activities

Recommends Ruby Princess? Yes!

Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Food and Dining
Service and Staff
I thought the staff on the Crown was the best. This Ruby staff topped them!
Entertainment
Not as many activities as on previous cruises. Not enough description of activities in Patter. Cruise Director and staff not "out and about" as others.
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
More tours need to include museum.
Don't Miss: Acropolis
Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Terrace Houses should be on more tours!
Don't Miss: Terrace Houses
Naples, Italy
Took private tour to spend additional time at Herculaneum
Don't Miss: Pompeii
Istanbul, Turkey
Have more tours that do not go to the Blue Mosque..... many of us have hit the top three sites before. Make rug demo more of an option.
Don't Miss: The port itself
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Well planned tours. Too many tours at one restaurant .... all arrived at once. Same complaint at all tour restaurants... no vegetarian options offered.
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
Wonderful day at Cinque Terre. Having lunch on your own is a good option. You can take as much or as little time as you want. We took a quick bite so that we could see more! Didn't have to wait on everyone else.
Don't Miss: Cinque Terre
Venice, Italy
Tough port for boarding. More excursions needed on boarding day.
Don't Miss: St. Marks
Mykonos, Greece
Beautiful, but how about more dates at Santorini. Was far too crowded to enjoy charm.
Monte Carlo, Monaco
Not near enough time to see port, especially after tendering stopped for an hour for another ship to dock.
