Review summary

i Picked Princess based on the route. Their land portion, not great. Too much bus riding. Recommend doing Alaska land on your own, not princess . Pick a ship that has more time in each port, if possible. Pick a ship with better rated food. Not a big fan of all parts of the medallion. In spite of a few things -we loved Alaska, met great people, and had a wonderful time. And we were spoiled, we had the most unbelievable weather.

Princess is the third cruise line we’ve been on and in our opinion, the best overall. We have been on 6 cruises on Princess and taking our 7th in Sept. Although as with life in general not everything was to our liking, we try to be flexible enough not to let the small things ruin our experience. I hope the crabbies I read about would do the same.

We sailed to Alaska 2 years ago on the Ruby Princess. We loved Princess enough we are going back this year on the Royal. I booked flights, transfers, cruise and excursions all through Princess and have been totally satisfied. My agent has been very helpful. We learned in Panama it is best to book excursions through the cruise line....ship waited on my MIL and some other passengers for 1 1/2 hours that was in traffic. Sorry you were unhappy with parts of your trip.

PCL has been rated best food at sea for years now, so not sure why you believe the food isn't all that great
