We enjoyed our time aboard the Riviera, met some lovely people, and left with wonderful memories of our cruise. We were a bit surprised at the advanced age group on this cruise. We are mid 60’s and felt young! Many of the passengers did not adhere to the ‘country club casual and elegant’ dress code, which was disappointing. We felt the excursion prices were high so we were happy to set up most of our own on shore. The cruise staff is amazing and friendly and the ship is beautiful.

Meals were excellent! Wine options were expensive, however
Onboard Activities

Fitness center equipment needs updating and disappointed that the exercise classes I wanted to attend (yoga, core, etc) were offered near dinner time instead of morning, when I wanted to exercise. Art classes were great, but disappointed that the advertised culinary classes were so expensive to attend. Pool chairs were taken up by people putting their things on them early so they’d have a chair later in day. Concierge deck was unattended and had to gather our own cushions for lounge chairs. The hot tub needed repairs— lots of tile missing. Expected more from that level. Smoking area near the pool was annoying, as smoke blew into non smoking areas,
Entertainment

The string quartet was amazing and a highlight of the cruise for us! Some of the stage shows were great ( string quartet, comedian, world tribute) others, not so much.
Children's Programs
No children on this cruise.

The bed was very comfortable and the linens were excellent. We were extreemly satisfied with our room.
We set up our own excursion, biking, kyaking, hiking, learning the history, etc... and enjoyed it and the friendliness of the guides/owners. The cost was half of a similar excursion set up through the ship. Lots of shopping in the downtown area, but a bit dirty, with dead rats in the street, we choose not to eat in any of the restaurants because of that.
Booked a snorkeling excursion oon board, which was disappointing. Poorly organized with their equipment and there was not much to see—no staff from the excursion got into the water to assist or guide. They gave lots of warnings of where not to swim and what not to do and it sounded a bit risky, so I only swam near the boat. The port was beautiful however.
We took a taxi to Carlisle Bay and rented two lounge chairs with an umbrella on the beach. We enjoyed our day relaxing and swimming in beautiful crystal clear blue water.
We booked an island tour on shore and the guide was wonderful. We enjoyed Totou Gorge and the swim through the cave to see the waterfalls. The mountains and native flowers were breathtaking!
The isle of the rich and famous! Interesting and expensive shopping here. We walked through the town to Shell Beach. Too expensive to rent chairs ($120) so we sat on towels, swam and collected shells and sea glass. Enjoyed viewing all the yachts in the port.
Crowding 1200 passengers into a small area to wait for your color to be called to disembark was uncomfortable and for those with mobility issues, was not considerate.
