We over packed and Alaska weather was very good no rain at all. Radiance offers laundry service we took advantage of that a couple times. I'd pack little less and have more space for swag.

The mandatory gratuity of $14.50 per person/day was an unpleasant surprise, I didn't see it in the term/conditions when I booked the tour, and it was an additional $304.5 expense for the 3of us.

The Radiance is a great ship! Just don't compare it to the larger, newer ships because that would not be an equitable comparison.

Do not get the internet package. The basic tier was useless and the premium tier was marginally serviceable. For $20 and $25 per line respectively, it was not worth it.

best time to sail to Alaska is June and first part of July. Anything after that, is colder and gloomier.

Use the app! This saved us from having to pull out the paper itinerary each time we wanted something to do. Also, the wifi that's free only lets you use the app. No messaging, no maps, nothing else except their app.

Don't go unless they are willing to revamp the entertainment and provide spectacular meal choices in the dining rooms

Use elevators at the ends not in the middle of the ship. Less busy. I wouldn't stay in rear cabins, too much swaying. I stayed near middle of the ship...less ship sway. Use fine dining area for breakfast and dinner. Less congestion of people. Fill out breakfast tags for coffee and fruit delivered to the room each day to start your mornings.

Need more programs for kids. Need more indoor activities when going for Alaska. Food timing can be extended as we struggled getting food for all ages at different times as they close pretty early.
