Review summary

Excellent cruise! Definitely book excursions every port. Beautiful at every port. Trip advisor gives highlights of each port. Halibut and salmon so delicious 😋. Entertainment was sufficient for an Alaskan cruise. Food on board was delicious everywhere and plentiful in the wind jammer. Definitely get a room with a balcony to enjoy the beauty of Alaska.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

French onion soup and lobster bisque terrible. Rest of the dining 5 star!!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Shows very entertaining and enjoyed a movie. Did a lot of excursions so didn't use too many activities. Enjoyed bingo and the casino on board.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Performances were fantastic!! Enjoyed juggler and comedian very much!! The variety show was very entertaining.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff overall very friendly. Hard to understand staff speaking with masks on. Hopefully staff can remove masks soon. Curious, if service not exceptional as before covid as a covid protocol. Perhaps they are to have limited contact with guests.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Common areas appeared to be always clean. Saw pstaff cleaning continually.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Comfort was good. Only the shower area small. Enjoyed balcony area while cruising. Room always cleaned while out. Room staff excellent job!

Ship tip

Use elevators at the ends not in the middle of the ship. Less busy. I wouldn't stay in rear cabins, too much swaying. I stayed near middle of the ship...less ship sway. Use fine dining area for breakfast and dinner. Less congestion of people. Fill out breakfast tags for coffee and fruit delivered to the room each day to start your mornings.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

If you don't do the excursion which was very expensive. Nothing really to see here if you see other glaciers on your trip.

Skagway, Alaska

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Whale watching amazing!!!! Wished we would have stayed longer to explore hoonah. Highly recommend whale watching at this port!!

Ketchikan, Alaska

Did tour Saxman village not worth time going. Just a few totem poles and saw no wildlife worth mentioning on the wildlife tour. Recommend a different tour.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

4 out of 5
Beautiful need to be on the balcony to enjoy seeing occasional whales and other sea life. Balcony is a must going through inside passage.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Cruise port over 30 minutes from the airport. Thankful we had pre paid a transfer to get to the airport. Make sure you have at least 3 hours before your flight is leaving. So many passport and ticket check points. Leave your passport out until you do US pre customs check in.
