Review summary

This is not a warm weather cruise, you will not be laying out in the sun enjoying the pool, rock climbing walls or miniature gold. This is a cruise geared toward relaxation and viewing beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation experience was easy and stress free. That being said the port of Seward was very expensive from the lodging to restaurants and food. Since it is a 2.5 -3 hr bus/train ride from Anchorage you almost have to spend one night there to ensure you make your cruise. Quaint city but not the best choice of port.,

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

3 out of 5
Only flew into Anchorage did not stay or visit city

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

4 out of 5
Would have liked it if the ship had cruised closer to the glacier, we were a bit far away to obtain good pictures even with a zoom lens

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Largest stop and best selection of shopping. The prices were good too.

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
Cute town to explore.

Haines, Alaska

2 out of 5
Nothing to see or do here.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
One of my favorite stops, the bus driver is a local and have a nice commentary on the 10-15 min ride to her town. Some small shops and a great restaurant Allen the Fisherman’s Daughter

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
We did a 4 in 1 tour which took us to the totem poles, a tidal pool, waterfall and tour of the city. A local was the tour guide so we got some fun information an daily life in Alaska.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

4 out of 5
Beautiful scenery but again not much to do on the boat especially at the end of the cruise

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

4 out of 5
Go to Stanley Park especially if you missed the totem pole in Ketchikan they have beautiful ones there.
