Second inside passage cruise - always a great trip. Best moment was the Drone Whale Watching in Icy Straights!

This is THE ONE! by mykalona

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

Our first visit to Alaska. The Cruise allowed us to visit multiple ports and enjoy the scenery along the way. We took advantage of the awesome weather and enjoyed every single minute. Wouldn’t change a thing! So much to see! Can’t wait to do it again!

Would have been great, BUT Covid by Renee2964

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The experiences on the ship and at port calls were great. BUT!!!!! The CDC rates cruises as a risky activity with respect to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. An important factor in our decision to take this cruise was the fact that there was a requirement to wear masks at all times on board, except when in one's own cabin, seated at restaurants and bars, or in the pool. We are not happy that this requirement was dropped literally two days before we were to embark on the cruise. At this point, we had already sunk a lot of money into this vacation, so decided to go ahead with the cruise. When masks are made optional, most people do not choose to wear them, so the protection offered by masks is greatly decreased. While my husband and I continued to wear our masks on the ship, our son did not wear his diligently because no one he was socializing with wore theirs, making him feel awkward to wear his. As a result, he did contract Covid. Even though my husband and I remained Covid free, we had to remain isolated along with our son since we shared a cabin. Please reconsider the decision to make masks optional. Too many people caught Covid on this cruise. Eighteen of us were in our Covid disembarkation group; some of them were saying that there were over 100 affected by Covid. (Others who had tested negative, but whose travel companions were positive were also affected.)

Wonderful Alaskan Itinerary by drpeters75

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise. Alaska is magnificent. This ship is definitely for those not looking for a lot of onboard activities who plan to spend most of their time off the ship. Good for those who have cruised this class of ships before and know what to expect.

Radiance of the Seas - 7 Night Southbound Alaska & Hubbard Glacier Seward To Vancouver by James74

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We would highly recommend this cruise for all age groups. There was something on board for everyone to participate in and the dining, entertainment, activities, and excursions were excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Cruise was great, Delta Skymiles was horrible-Booking directly with Royal in Future by Butzfam

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The cruise and the ship were all great the vacation was good. Learn a very important lesson look with the company directly do not go through Delta SkyMiles as they are more interested in the sale than actually helping the customer.

Alaska is beautiful but Radiance of the Sea could be better by micheleclopp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We have cruised with Viking before, we will probably go back with them. The RCC was a good price and we gave it a try, we were patient and knew it was the first sail. Had I paid a premium price for this trip I would have been very disappointed.

Pepper in the Salt shaker by dgroediger

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

We paid full price for all of the ships venues to be operational and the fact that the buffet and many bars were closed which affected our cruise greatly made us feel we did not get what we paid for. The green untrained, unorganized crew were unable to help us as they did not know what was going on. We should get a refund for this cruise. We signed up and paid for a cruise visiting Santa Barbara, one of our favorite places and it did not happen. This will be our last cruise as my husband's health prohibits us from cruising and it was very disappointing. The information given from RCL stated that to fly from Vancouver to Seattle we need a negative covid test within 48 hours. The ship did not offer this service and the internet so poor we were forced to do it at the airport which was expensive and time consuming causing us to miss our flight. As it was this information from RCL was also false as the test was not required......

Trip to Paradise by seafish1319

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Hawaii

Great cruise. Loved Hawaii. 6 days at sea in a row is both relaxing and tedious. Probably more fun on the Ovation with more things to do.

Fun in the Sun in Hawaii by codysmom5732507

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Hawaii

One big thing we found very "Poor" was the choice of music around the ship .... especially in the buffet. When you have so many older people onboard you should be choosing more easy listening music, as we found the music actually very annoying...... just saying

Siblings/Spouses (group of 9) Alaska Hubbard Glacier Southbound on Radiance by rst1959

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Long-time traveler, first-time cruising - a great experience. Loved being in a group. Infiltrating smoke a problem, as mentioned. The lesser wifi/internet package seemed worthless . . . one in our group had the higher-speed option and as much problems and woes as us. Some of the upsales efforting by staff became tiresome.

Alaska family cruise by markwclymer230

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Had a fantastic time with this itinerary, which I would recommend to people of almost all ages. We've done 11 cruises around the world. If you can choose only one-- it should be this one.
