Review summary

Alaska is worth visiting. Beautiful landscapes. Friendly people

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Cruise terminal in Vancouver needs to be better organized.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in dining room was excellent. Didn't try any of the specialty restaurants. Windjammer buffett was good with lots of different offerings. Thought the hours of operation could have been better. Coffee bar was fine but you had to pay for a cup of coffee.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Considering it was a small ship and cool weather, the activity offerings were fine but meager. (mini golf, rock climbing wall, basketball court, two pools & hot tubs)

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Ship's band/orchestra was excellent. Only one of the nightly shows (tango) was worth seeing.

Children's Programs

No children along

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We've taken many cruises with Royal Caribbean over the years. Their staff (waiters, room stewards) have always been excellent. They try so hard to take care of us, serve us, anticipate our needs. Always smiling even though we know they work hard every day for many long hours. We truly commend them. Must comment on poorly organized breakfast room serice. Most mornings our order was wrong. Never received a call to let us know they were coming. Showed up at wrong times. One morning tried to deliever our breakfast 3 times! We've never had these problems on other cruises.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship's layout was easy to navigate. Common areas were clean and maintained. However, it was obvious that the ship is getting older.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was much smaller than we were used to from our previous cruises. Barely room to move around. No room to place dishes from breakfast room service.

Ship tip

Expect a smaller ship, smaller cabins

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
very smooth, quick
