Review summary

Had a fantastic time with this itinerary, which I would recommend to people of almost all ages. We've done 11 cruises around the world. If you can choose only one-- it should be this one.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
easy to board. Took about 3 minutes for everything.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dined at the main dining room only. Service was great. I had seafood every night and loved it.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Didn't do a lot here as our Moms (in their 80's) were with us. Very friendly cruise staff.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Royal Caribbean's nighttime entertainment falls flat, especially compared to Disney.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great crew in all areas.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship is a little older and smaller than some newer mega-ships but still in good shape and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Outside cabin on deck 3. Typical cabin.

Ship tip

Don't pick the ship. Pick the itinerary. Itinerary was perfect.

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

5 out of 5
We rented a car and drove to Kenia Ford National Park. It was gorgeous.

Cruise Hubbard Glacier

5 out of 5
Beautiful view of the glacier due to perfect weather. We were able to sail to within 1/2 mile of it.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
One of my favorite cities. We did a private whale watching tour, which was stunning. We saw about 5 humpbacks, and 10-15 Orcas playing together. Just amazing.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We rode the White Pass Railway and it had beautiful views. Quaint little town with lots of shopping for jewelry of course.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion but there is something for everyone. I did walk into Hoonah and the local residents were very friendly.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Picturesque town on the water. We did a city tour and really enjoyed it. Saw deer playing by the ocean, and saw a bald eagle swoop down on a stream to grab a salmon.

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

4 out of 5
Sailed only with no stop. Picture perfect weather and scenery.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
I have been here 4 times. One of the worlds cleanest and nicest cities. Stanley Park is a must see.
