First time to Alaska, would definitely do it again, but maybe on a different ship.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
The process was easy overall, but going up and then down in the Vancouver terminal for embarkation was confusing....especially when there was someone who had accessibility issues.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Very good, really enjoyed the Windjammer and the attentive staff. Enjoyed the variety & themed menu each day.
We had the Soda package, but wasn't convenient to asked for a refill each time. We were told that we were not allowed to have cans so that we could take extra back to the cabin for the evening or early morning if needed.
The MDR staff were wonderful, however we only went 2 evenings for dinner.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Spent a lot of time in the Solarium for viewing space since we were in an interior cabin. Staff at the cafe & bar were great.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Enjoyed the activities team and the Vybes band that mostly played in the Colony Club. Enjoyed the Elton John tribute show. Although the performers were great in the Piano Man show, the flow of the "story" was odd.
Children's Programs
No children in our traveling party.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room Steward, Hendra was wonderful & very helpful. Each time we visited ports of call, the crew was very helpful with assisting my mother who used a walker to the disembark the ship.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was clean, but it wasn't my favorite design layout. Only having one path to get to some of the venues was not convenient. Needing to pass through the casino which was one place where smoking was allowed was also annoying.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was good, but uneven floor was not great for it being an accessible room.
We did not have an excursion with the ship, but we booked the Alaskan Railroad for our trip to Anchorage. It wasn't until later that I learned that we could have arranged that through the ship. Really enjoyed the ride to Anchorage.
