Review summary

A week full of fabulous memories! I was traveling with my husband and daughter, our friends from high school and their son and daughter, and my friends cousin and aunt whom I had never met. We had such an amazing week. The staff on the Radiance made our cruise so enjoyable! And let’s not forget about Jack - he sang to us almost every night in the Crown & Anchor - and lets hear it for Myra who kept our glasses filled! A lifetime of great memories!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Subiono Sinaga, was absolutely fabulous! This man went above and beyond to make us comfortable. He was very pleasant and professional!!! Our wait staff was also perfect! Artha & Walter (table 509) made our dining experience as wonderful as it could be! They took such good care of us every evening at dinner. Subiono Sinaga, Artha and Walter all knew all of our names from the first day! I can not say enough good things about all three of these young men! Also, the first evening we dined at our table, Jeff and I were seated at a different table than the rest of our party. Cheryl made arrangements and quickly was able to move us to the correct table with the rest of our group.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It is an older ship, however the layout is great. The decor is very fitting. The ship was overall very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was roomy enough for the two of us - as was the balcony. Subiono Sinaga kept it very tidy for us.

Ports of call

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

We stayed in Anchorage for a couple of days prior to the cruise. We used Bear Paw Transport for the trip there - I would highly recommend them!

Cruise Hubbard Glacier Did not visit port

The view from the ship was amazing at Hubbard Glacier!

Juneau, Alaska

We did the helicopter ride and the dog sled excursion. Way out of my comfort zone, but absolutely amazing!!!

Skagway, Alaska

We did the 3 hour train ride - White Pass. The train station was very cute and the train ride was definitely worth the time and money. We would have liked to have stayed in town a little longer, but another cruise ship was there and it was too crowded to get in anywhere.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Amazingly cute little port! Our daughter and some of our other group members did the zipline here! It was awesome and I regret not doing it. Jeff and I did video a whale and an eagle while the rest of the group was headed to the zipline though. The employees at the zipline were awesome. And there is a screen at the end of the zip so you can see when your people are getting geared up to zip down the mountain.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Another nice port. Lots of shopping going on here. Jeff and his buddies did the sea plane excursion here and loved it. The Lumberjack show was great, too!

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

Disembarked here. Walked to the sky train station (less than 1/2 mile away) and went to the airport.
