Review summary

We had never sailed on Royal Caribbean before, but would do so again. Overall the ship was clean, the crew friendly and professional, the food was good.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation was smooth and surprisingly quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We bought the three specialty dining room package and found it to be worth the money, the food and service in the specialty restaurants, Wonderland, Jamie's Italian and Chop House, was excellent. We chose My Time Dining, Main dining room was also very good, both food and service, and the buffets were very good as well. The Windjammer, while expectedly crowded, was not overwhelmingly so and we were always able to find a seat. We also used the Solarium buffet which was a much smaller version of the Windjammer and was also very good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We mainly only used the pool and the hot tubs in the Solarium, which were both very good for just relaxing. Had no problem finding lounge chairs.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the various music around the ship as well as the shows in the Royal Theatre and Two Seventy. Did not go to late night comedy shows.

Children's Programs

no children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Constantly greeted with smiles and hellos. Staff was very attentive, both the room steward, Yudi, and all the waiters were very attentive with only a small delay on departure day for breakfast on disembarkation day.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All the areas of the ship were clean and well maintained. We have never been on one of the large (4000+passengers) ships before and I was a little apprehensive of it being overcrowded. It was not and did not feel as if was.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This cabin truly is spacious as it is larger than most other cabns, it was clean and for comfortable.

Ship tip

Get to the port at the time you chose, then sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was also smooth and easy, especially for the amount of people on the ship. Port Valet worked perfectly, our luggage was waiting for us at JFK.

Thank you for your review! I was also just on Quantum on the September 4th sailing and agree with everything you said. The food overall was fantastic, especially in Wonderland, and the shows we're fantastic, especially the one featuring the Earth Harp. Don't miss that one if you're on the Quantum! Service was impeccable. My only glitch was room 7188 was sold to me as a fully unobstructed balcony room and it was not. It was partially obstructed by lifeboats and winches, but we ended up moving to room 9184 which was indeed fully unobstructed. Be careful when booking midship on Deck 7.
