We were originally supposed to go to Skagway and ride the train, but unfortunately we had to be rerouted because of problems at the port. The weather was foggy, rainy, and cold; therefore, there was nothing to see once you reached the top of the mountain. The gondola ride that took you to the top was nice and smooth, but again you couldn't see anything. At the top, aside from some trails, there was nothing up there but a large tent with cold drinks. Nothing warm for the people who were cold and freezing. The small village was about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the port.

Did not get to see the glacier because of too much ice in the water.

We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of Alaska and have booked a 14 night Alaska cruise with Carnival for next year. We didn’t let our crummy sleeping arrangements and rotten food ruin our trip. Hopefully Royal addresses these concerns, there’s definitely a pattern here. Our first impression of this company has caused us to never repeat it again. Very unfortunate…
