This was a repeat trip for me. First cruise to Alaska was Fabulous. I couldn’t wait for my husband to see all the gigantic glaciers, bears, whales, wildlife and experience the Alaska I saw the first time I was there. He basically saw ocean and trees ! Extremely disappointed in RC.

Organized, friendly staff, took us no time BUT we had purchased the “Key”. Otherwise, I saw people in long lines.

Jaimie’s was terrible food, bad service and uncomfortable seating.
Onboard Activities

Not really that much to do if you’re 65. I stayed in the spa mostly. Bingo was fun but I didn’t pay that much to just play bingo!
Entertainment

The cruise we took 6 years ago had the Broadway musical “Cats”. Musicians were too loud on this cruise and they yelled. Last cruise we took had lovely music we could dance to. Didn’t go to the show, it seemed lame.

Mostly wonderful, cheerful, nice and very accommodating. Especially at the Chef’s table and Chops Grille.
Ship Quality

I would say it was clean but paint was chipping on the outside and inside big time.

Ok, this is where I get upset. We asked for a suite but they said there were none left, all “SOLD OUT”. Then a few days before sailing, we got an email saying that the suites were being AUCTIONED off !!! Really? They weren’t sold out. We bid but didn’t get one. We bid on a larger balcony and got it but it was SO expensive and I am sure it was the same size as all the other ones. Plus, too cold to sit out on it.
Ship tip
Do Not Go. Pick a line that is for sure going to show you glaciers, wildlife, whales ( they’re on the inside passage)and you have good indoor entertainment in case of bad weather. Also, go in August.
I did not want to go here. Our Skagway trip was canceled last minute. RC said the pier was damaged. But a woman said she called and the pier was repaired and other ships were docking.
