We had a wonderful time with no delays or iternary changes. Getting onboard was very quick and easy. This is our 10th cruise with RC and we are forever Royal Loyal!!

Embarkation

Our check in time was 11:00 but with all the stories about long wait times and ridiculously long lines, we decided to get there early. We arrived at 10 and were eating a delicious breakfast in the Windjammer at 10:40!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Loved the main dining room! I mean why pay to eat when it is included right???? Hazel and her assistant LinLin made our experience there a great one. Service was top notch and the food was fantastic. We also enjoyed the pizza at Sorentos and the breakfast at the buffet.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the indoor family pool, the roller skating, bumper cars, laser tag and the extended NorthStar experience.

Entertainment

The only show you make reservations for when you get onboard is for Starwater. It is a good show so make sure you do it quick. The other shows are on a first come basis. Our favorite show was Goddess, she was a fantastic singer.

Children's Programs

My nine year old granddaughter loves the kids center. All the Royal Caribbean cruises we have been on have had a fantastic kids program.

Service and Staff

Hazel and LinLin were awesome in the Main Dining Room. Our cabin steward Pio did a fantastic job!

Ship Quality

Everything was always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

First time we have gotten a junior suite and it was very nice.

Ship tip

As soon as you get onboard book reservations for Starwater, Northstar, iFly and roller skating. You can reserve roller skating multiple days on day one...trust me you can't get additional times later so book the times you want all at once. Laser tag and bumper cars were a lot of fun but you can't reserve time slots...just show up and wait in line.

Stayed at the Hyatt at Olive and 8th and it was fantastic. Everywhere we wanted to go was within walking distance. Highly suggest eating at the Cheesecake Factory which is three minutes away. Very good food. We arrived three days early so we could have a mini vacation before the cruise and there was so much to do. I suggest going to the Space Needle, the Seattle Aquarium, Pike Place market and if you have kids the Pacific Science Museum.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
I booked the Icy Strait Exclusive Wildlife and Bear Search thru Alaska Shore Excursions.com and it was awesome. Highly recommend booking with them and the price was great. Easy to get to from the ship and our guide was fantastic. I don't remember his name but he was young and had been in the Marines. Super nice guy...you can tell he really loves his home state.

Skagway, Alaska

Beautiful scenery even though we couldn't get close to Dawes Glacier because of the ice.
