This was a great cruise from start to finish. The ports it visited are really good ports. The food was excellent and the service we had was very good. Everything went very smoothly and we were really sorry to have the week end.

This was our 59th cruise. Holland America was the Grand Dame of cruise ships up until a new president was installed 3 years ago. They are now a cheap cruise with serious crew cutbacks and elimination of amenities. Obvious emphasis is on bottom-line profit and less on passenger comfort and attention to the little things. They were once our number one favorite because of their appeal to older passengers and sedate amenities. Today, in our minds, they rank fifth along with Carnival by trying to appeal across the board to everyone and in the process have lost their branding. All of this was confirmed with fellow passengers who said they were disgusted with the decline in the Grande Dame and their lack of attention to the small things.

Nice & relaxing. Enjoyed the food and not having to cook. Enjoyed our room & our veranda.

We enjoyed getting away from the cold and visiting with friends that went along with us. Cruise itself, well certainly been on better.

Had never cruised for more than 7 days before. Overall Cruise was very enjoyable and there was enough to do to stay busy. Wish there could have been better access to sports on TV. Only got Limited news stations. On demand movies and TV were good. Food was very good but slow service in main dining room was an issue.

18 days--11 of them with gale force winds not permitting us outside for days--people falling and getting injured with turbulance and getting sick--need I say more. Days on the Islands were great. Would I go to Hawaii again--yes--Would I cruise it--NO NO NO!

Holland America staff/crew were very gracious and accommodating; ship was comfortable. Hawaii is a beautiful state.

It was a long trip (18 days) with ten days at sea. The cruise ship was wonderful along with the islands but the days at sea were a bit long as the weather did not cooperate. But we're happy we did it and we had a lot of fun.

Very good experience overall. Most travellers were seniors. Quiet and comfortable travel. Port stop at Samana was not a very good experience. Food and service was great.

We enjoyed the cruise but missed the music and fun that is on other ships Lido Deck during the daytime. We loved the BB King Club. We were there every night because the musicians were amazing.

Book if you just like to eat with older crowd. Good food prepared with pride. Food was better than carnival or rci for sure. Spa hot tub was only hot tub with proper temp which cost me an extra 125 dollars

Great time. Excellent ship. Terrific staff. Wonderful shows. Delicious food. Exciting ports and tours. Excellent Cruise Director. Cabin OK except for a slow sink drain that they could not repair. Fast computers and free printing. Easy check-in and disembarking. In general, my wife and I had a wonderful 21 anniversary cruise. We would take this ship again, gladly.

Great relaxing time, wonderful food and service, spacious cabin, good entertainment, good options on dining, many places on the ship to sit, read, and relax.

it was a nice cruise. the staff was wonderful. although, for first timers, there was not enough information assimilated. gala nights were totally not followed. still, we will definitely cruise again but we would look for more incentives like onboard credit or prepaid gratuities.

Enjoyed it very much. Good entertainment, plenty of delicious food. Enjoyed making friends with fellow passengers. We look forward to many more cruises on Holland American.

HOLLAND AMERICA SHORE EXCURSIONS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE. MEDICAL DEPARTMENT VERY EXPENSIVE WITH OUT OF DATE EQUIPMENT. MY DAD DIED ON THE SS VOLENDAM, 7/18/1950 FROM THE SAME UNACCEPTABLE DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT AND STAFF. NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

Please stop pushing products so much in your activities, it really ruined the cruising experience for me. I will have to be convinced to get on another Holland America cruise now unfortunately. The events were scarce and repetitive. It seems most people would rather sit in their rooms watching movies or staring out of the windows than go to another trivia, bingo or scrabble event.

We enjoyed seeing the sites of Alaska, especially the glaciers, and the glacier Gardens. Our cabin cast a negative tone for the trip with all the noise and uncomfortable bed. It took them the entire week to help us with this problem. On Friday they moved us to another cabin. Because of lack of sleep I became quite ill when I left the ship. Not a good welcome home.

Be very careful if Holland offers you any discounts or credits!!! They do not honor them and there is "small print" after you get on board to void them!!! We lost over $700 in credits for very unreasonable "reasons"!!
