Review summary

My wife and 2 daughters were celebrating multiple events. We travel quite often (almost 60 countries) but this is just our 3rd cruise. We were pleased with the experience and will likely cruise in the future. We were disappointed by the cost of some onboard items such as internet, soda, water and added costs when you're dining in the specialty dining room. The latter was most surprising. As guests of the Haven, we have access to an exclusive restaurant every night where surf and turf is included. We dined in one of the specialty restaurants (an up charge) one evening and was shocked that in addition to the up charge, certain dishes, such as shrimp and lobster, had an additional up charge. Yes, lobster was included nightly for us but in the "special" restaurant there was an upcharge on top of the upcharge. We had a great time, but it was shocking how many items came at an additional cost.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The restaurants were really good, and the service team personalized our experience. The food was delicious. We were Haven guest so surf and turf was included every night. It was insulting to go to the specialty restaurant where I was already paying an up charge to be told that I had to pay an additional upcharge for lobster. Remember, we are Haven guests and it is included. I was also taken back by the charges for soda and water. We had the premium drink package and did not consume much alcohol. However, we were charged for water. We spent well over $20,000 plus multiple spa treatments. We thought this was "nickel and diming".

Onboard Activities

Our daughters (22 and 24) shared that the pools were packed every time they went. We found the spa to be wonderful and took advantage of 2 spa days. We went to the arcade one evening and were shocked that everything was an upcharge. We last cruised 10 years ago and these items were all inclusive.

Entertainment

Beetlejuice was outstanding and entertaining. The onboard bands were great.

Service was personal and hospitable. Our Butler was very attentive and responsive. The wait staff remembered out r names and really got to know us. Bartenders were incredible.

Ship Quality

No issues with the ship's condition. Dim, our cabin steward was incredible.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Great experience at this port. Guests should know that Florence is more than an hour away from Livorno and should plan accordingly. We did an excursion to Florence and Pisa and had a great time.

NAPLES (POMPEII), ITALY

This port was wonderful. We did a e-bike tour and had a great time. Beautiful city.

If you're a Game of Thrones fan, this is the destination for you. We also had a great time in the walled city dining and shopping. UBER was very inexpensive verses the taxis who were double. Saved 50% using Uber and we were actually picked up in a taxi vehicle.

Split, Croatia

Koper, Slovenia

Pleasantly surprised. Great little city with rich history. The cleanest place on earth.
