Great time but need to add more standard restaurants - Chinese with no charge and Pub type with fish and chips. Buffet food was flavorless.

We had good weather which made the excursions great. Norwegian had a lot of activities on Sea days and kept us busy. The food was wonderful and there was never a wait at restaurants or bars. As indicated above, the Sun is a significantly smaller ship than others. We did this same cruise in 2021 on a bigger Norwegian ship and hit a cyclone coming back and never felt the waves. This ship moved a lot more even without a storm. The buffet was great but didn't mix up the food choices during the cruise. We couldn't get a "regular" spot and wait staff at the complementary restaurants and ended up being moved around. This is OK, but I do like other cruise lines that make dining more personal. Don't worry about dressing up. My wife always dresses up for dinner, but very few people did. My wife has a walker and we found it was harder to get around on this boat as the elevators were small and walkways narrow in the buffet and other places. I think this is just a problem with the fact that the boat is smaller than others.

We enjoyed the itenerary and the ship. Definitly would recommend it.

Great trip! Amazing itinerary, awesome weather. Do the cruise things, find your favorites. Find a favorite spot and enjoy. Travel Yahtzee is an easy pack Item and we had a great time doing after dinner drinks and playing a round or two or playing a round while waiting for trivia to start. Sports and Spinnaker were our favorite spots. Warm enough but with great views and bar staff! Only complaints food was bland at the buffet, and they could have better communication and organization regarding debarking at port stops.

Alaska is awesome, port's I enjoyed were Skagway and Juneau mostly, Ketchikan is great, icy straight was eh.

Capt is not the best. Drove through a 60+ mph gale. Suicidal? Perhaps Skagway closed down. Juneau closed down. Missed icy straight by hanging around out in the ocean to open casino. Apparently these ships are run by corporate, not the captain. Pushy pushy to get you to spend

I can't wait to go next year! Yes, you take a chance with the end of season stormy weather but the prices are terrific, less crowds make it relaxing and the service was fabulous!

Great cruise to see much of Alaska----would also suggest a land/rental car drive in interior Alaska to get a full Alaska experience.

Overall this was a quiet and relaxing time. If you're looking for top notch entertainment and activities I would recommend a larger ship. Alaska was beautiful and well worth the experience.

Overall a great cruise to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary

The staff was awesome. everyone was very friendly and made me feel appreciated. The loud speaker announcements were useless. Could not understand anything they were saying. Could be because english was their second language.

Older ship which has been refurbished. Food was the main disappointment. It was only mediocre at best. Fish overcooked. Beef & chicken dry and flavorless. Specialty restaurants barely acceptable. Do not recommend NCL Sun for Alaskan cruise. Excursions were great. We used and Viator for excursions. Do not recommend NCL excursion bus tour for Victoria, B.C.

If you’re younger, solo traveler, looking to meet people your age. Don’t book this ship. Book a bigger boat, for 7 days or less in the Caribbean. Not enough time ashore in any given port. If you did an excursion, that’s all the time there was before setting sail again. Crew is overworked, and should get some time to visit ports, or look out a window.

Booked the ship for the itinerary. Times in port could have been longer. For price paid it was excellent value and an amazing experience.

Much needed R&R. Weather always plays a big factor in cruising and we were blessed with great days!

The ship was freezing cold. Many people were wearing jackets The food was not very good and it was same every day. There were not many shows or things to do like on every other ship I have been on. No DJ on the upper deck and no dance club or area. Had lots of boring trivia. Had one deck with 5 hot tubs and 2 pools and they were filled with children. No adults could get in the hot tubs. All other cruise lines are better and offer more things to do on the boat and better food.

In the future, the next time I shop for a cruise I will consider the ship to be equally as important as the itinerary.

First time cruisers, start with Norwegian, so you won't be disappointed. We are spoiled by Royal Caribbean. Price is very good.

It pretty much sucked! Not a family friendly cruise, more mature crowd. Not many activities for kids, very very limited kids club hours. Nothing for the 2-3 year olds - kids pool / hot tub on our 9 day cruise was closed the entire time . Then the boat left us in Canada , was impossible to get ahold of anyone to help. NCL said they would email docs that were left in the room to us so we can get back to the US from Canada and they sent nothing- and of course no one can get ahold of the ship for help.. never ever again with NCL ! Go with a cruise when shiiit goes down you can actually get ahold of help , and they are helpful like celebrity, Disney , or Princess - currently still stranded in Canada Day 4 … Mom, Dad , Uncle & 2,4,6,9,13,13 year olds ! Were abandoned here with Nothing but the clothes on our backs. Boat left port 21 minutes early
