Review summary

Great trip! Amazing itinerary, awesome weather. Do the cruise things, find your favorites. Find a favorite spot and enjoy. Travel Yahtzee is an easy pack Item and we had a great time doing after dinner drinks and playing a round or two or playing a round while waiting for trivia to start. Sports and Spinnaker were our favorite spots. Warm enough but with great views and bar staff! Only complaints food was bland at the buffet, and they could have better communication and organization regarding debarking at port stops.

Ship tip

Best hang out spot is Spinnaker lounge take a game and hang out with views. Best bartenders on the ship. Also use Port Valet if you have a full day in Seattle waiting for a plane. So easy and free!

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Amazing! Hidden gem spot for nature lovers. Did Birds of Hoonah tour and Amy was amazing. Highly recommend if you love natural wonders. She did a great bird tour but also was knowledgeable about the entire island and all that goes along with that beautiful space.

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

Misty Fjords again with the views! Had a great Naturalist on board. Creek street was fun. Great port!

Sitka, Alaska

Sitka was great! Loved the town but again getting off the ship was a huge time suck.The tenders ended up starting about 3 hours after we were suppose to so had to go faster than I would have like at this port. Also try the Blueberry tea and crab rolls at Red Herring food truck. So tasty!

Beautiful views from everydeck. slow 360 try jogging track if every window seat is filled, colder but they have a Glow (muled) wine cart to keep you toasty.

Butchart Gardens was excellent. If I go back I will pay a taxi so we have more time to explore than a rushed tour. Loved this stop and we ate at Steamship Grill right by the Victoria drop-off spot. Excellent crab cakes.

White pass railway. Amazing.. had a new tour guide shipped in from Juneau and he did an excellent job on his first day driving in Scagway.

Getting off here was a hassle. We were late and then it took forever to debark. Last big city on this itinerary. Evening Whale tour was a let down but had great shrimp dip on board.

Happy that you had such a wonderful time! I'm also doing an Alaska cruise in a couple weeks for my birthday, so hopefully I'll have a wonderful time, as well. Happy continued cruising!
