Review summary

Booked the ship for the itinerary. Times in port could have been longer. For price paid it was excellent value and an amazing experience.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Ship was late arriving. Embarkation times went out of the window. Not very organised.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
MDR food was pretty good. It was in the specialty restaurants that we found disappointing. Le Bistro has been downgraded since we last sailed NCL. Menu was poor.

Seven Seas Main Dining Room

4 out of 5

Overall good menu choice. Much better than Royal C which is poor since changes. Service was reasonable. Dinner for 2 no longer than 1.5 hours, normally an hour.

Le Bistro

2 out of 5

Poor menu choice. Very disappointing

Cagney's Steakhouse

4 out of 5

Good service and menu choice

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Nothing really interested us. The worst cruise director I've ever experienced.

Internet Cafe

1 out of 5

Terrible internet. Do not pay extra until they upgrade service. It's poor. Internet manager was rude and arrogant though I wouldn't want his job

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Moderate to say the least. Mostly Filipino acts. Piano player was boring and poor. Shows dated and same as 2016.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly, helpful in the main. The odd grumble.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love the ship, always clean

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Spacious with plenty of storage. Quiet location.

Ship tip

This is not the ship for onboard entertainment. Only book for an iternary you want to do.

Ports of call

San Antonio, Chile

2 out of 5
Very industrial. Hotel wanted $75 pp to port. Taxi to bus station plus ticket which took us to the cruise terminal $9 pp

Puerto Montt, Chile

5 out of 5
Excellent excursion to Lake Esmeralda. Lovely town to walk around too.

Puerto Chacabuco, Chile

2 out of 5
Poor excursion walking in nature

Punta Arenas, Chile

3 out of 5
Bit better hiking to Fuerte Bulnes

Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina

5 out of 5
Picked a terrible tour. End of the world combo. Train ride is pathetic. Catamaran to see sea lions so-so

Cruise Cape Horn

5 out of 5
Great weather but early get up 5.30am

Port Stanley, Falkland Islands

5 out of 5
Amazing visit to Volunteer point. Long journey. Guide was 10 year's old when invasion happened. Great listening to him. Only downside not enough time to walk around town

Puerto Madryn, Argentina

5 out of 5
Great tour to Peninsula Valdes

Punta Del Este, Uruguay Did not visit port

Strong winds prevented tendering. Sea day was great weather.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

5 out of 5
Did day trip to Iguazu falls. Very easy if you book flights early. Amazing views. Gaucho tour was great with amazing horse whisperer. Tango dinner at Aljibe was very very good.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Problems with terminal made it very chaotic in terminal getting luggage and getting out.

Wonderful itinerary. We book for the itinerary, not the onboard activities. We call the ship our floating hotel.
