We enjoyed ourselves in Buenos Aires. I suggest you take a couple of days prior to your cruise to get situated and discover what BA is really like. We got to town two days before our cruise and had parts of 3 days to tour. We took a beer tour we discovered through the Airbnb website. It was fantastic. 4 breweries over the course of an evening...not to missed. The beer scene in BA is pretty high quality, so if you are a beer connoisseur, check it out! The day we set sail, we took a walking tour through all of the smaller boroughs that are closest to the port. We talked to locals, got some of the coolest first hand information. I just love the vibe of this city. The people are friendly and warm. I could live here if I had to!

Take a city tour to see the main tourist sites and then walk up and down the pedestrian only street, Florida. But be aware of thieves at all times, and don't make yourself an easy target!

We stayed a week longer in Buenos Aires at the Anselmo Hotel - Curio by Hilton - in San Telmo neighborhood on Dorrego Plaza. Great small, modern hotel in safe area. Tango dancers in plaza most afternoons and evenings. Sunday is antique flea market and tango dancing at night. 10 blocks from Plaza Mayo - main downtown plaza.

. Upon researching Buenos Aires, Argentina prior to our cruise we were not impressed with nothing to see. We were wrong! Buenos Aires, Argentina is a huge gorgeous city with lots to see and do. We took a ship shore excursion and we highly recommend this. They took us everywhere and showed us a lot of the city and our guide was very informative.
