In the future, the next time I shop for a cruise I will consider the ship to be equally as important as the itinerary.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
There were several of us traveling together. One senior woman in our group cut her arm badly on an exterior door trying to get it open.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in the main dining rooms was, for the most part, good; buffet was good with a great variety; Cagneys was great. All service in all restaurants was excellent.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
One friend used the fitness center and commented it wasn't what previous ships had but it was worth what they paid to participate. Another friend paid to use the spa but was disappointed it didn't have all the amenities that other NCL ships had.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We went to one show, a comedian/magician. He was good but we didn't want to see him again. Variety of entertainment was rather poor. Game shows like Deal or No Deal is not entertainment. Live music was excellent.
Children's Programs
No kids with us
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone did as requested. When we had an issue, it was remedied.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The layout was fine, it was clean and well maintained BUT it smelled of sewage. There was definitely issues with the plumbing and infrastructure of this ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
We had a problem with the shower - our first shower we were ankle deep in water. Disgusting. We reported it and it was fixed. The bathroom light would not turn off. We reported it the next day and it was fixed. The biggest issue was there is one usable 110 outlet in the room!!!! There were two standard USB ports in the lights plus one outlet. This is not adequate for 2024!
Ship tip
This ship has serious infrastructure issues - plumbing/electrical. Beware
We enjoyed our tour and everything was great except the restaurant on the beach. The server was rude and slow, the beer luke warm and the food terrible.
I give 5 stars to disembarkation from the ship - but I give 1 star for the fact that we parked our car in parking structure C (the terminal we left from) but we arrived in F! It is a long, perilous journey along a very busy road (no sidewalk for half the distance!) dragging our bags to get to the car. It had to be ove a mile but it felt like three!
