Liked Ketchikan, but the shuttling 20+ minutes each way was inconvenient and since we were only in port 630 am - 1200pm, options for tours and other activities was insufficient

Ship problems, that were not fully disclosed to passengers resulted in this port being cancelled. We weren't told until the afternoon and we're kind of held hostage on the ship with everything closing time onboard. Andrew since we were in territorial waters, taxes were being charged as required.

I cruised on the NCL Sun a few months ago and had a great time, with great food and service. I dont understand how anyone cruising in Alaska cannot give 5 stars at all the ports and Glacier Bay. So Ketchikan is a little inconvenient, but it's still a cool destination, especially if a person has never been there. As far as Glacier Bay, it's still incredible to see the glaciers and if you can't be amazed, then perhaps Alaska cruises on any cruise line isn't for you.
