Overall, the trip was marred with the poor service from the ship. Had the room flooding been taken care of better, everything else would have been a minor annoyance. We talked to another couple that indicated that they had been on this ship years ago and felt that it has gone down hill since. Hope they share.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Norwegian is constantly trying to upsell. Slows the process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food was average to poor. Undercooked meals and tough meats.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
We found that most of the activities were targeted at older passengers. We did not find them appealing.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
We did attend the magician's show. It was worthwhile. There were no other shows worth attending.
Children's Programs
Just my wife and I.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The staff was great until there was a problem. They would obfuscate and deliberately push you away. After being thrown from our flooding room, we were told to just wait in a public space. Very embarrassing and unprofessional.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
This is a very, very old ship. There were two new lights with USB plugs, otherwise, it felt like 1974. The hair dryer was above the toilet, there was only one outlet in the room, and counter space was nonexistent.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
This was our second cabin. It had a bunk bed that limited usable space with a flood stained small chair.
Ship tip
Work quickly on shore days. Norwegian was tendering and docking miles away from the towns (while others docked right in town). You lose a lot of time this way.
The town of Hunnah (spelling) was interesting but very small, but still had a brewery. We got the ticket to go to the top of the mountain to hike, but the trail was closed. Would have been a good warning.
I was just on the Sun and had a great time with great food, so I guess some people will find something about everything, and then let the one bad issue set the stage for entire cruise.
