Review summary

I would recommend this cruise. It was very relaxing and worth it if you want to see Alaska. I thought 9 days might be too long at first. But the time went by quickly. The whole crew was always professional and friendly no matter what time of the day or night it was. All in all it was a great experience and me and my family totally enjoyed it.

Embarkation

The process was fast and professional

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The buffet was ok, but not very tasty just average. Most of the specialty meats were overcooked and very chewy. The main dining rooms were slightly better. All of the staff for the dining experiences were superb.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pools and hot tubs were great, but they were uncovered. This made it hard to use them as it was typically windy and cold.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows in the main theater were great shows! There were a lot of entertainment choices and usually something for everyone.

Children's Programs

I did not bring a child.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was professional, friendly and always well groomed. They were attentive but not annoying.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship's layout was typical. Lots of room to walk around and see different offerings. Very clean and I always saw staff working on cleaning and even detailed cleaning such as baseboards, walls and other cleaning that is not typical.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was fine and a typical size. The cabin steward was super attentive and helped us out with our room and also any questions we had.

Ship tip

There is a lot of time to relax and don't forget to check out the 2 main dining rooms.

Ports of call

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion, but there were rides to other areas that were not easily accessible. Very charming and cool stuff to see.

Sitka, Alaska Did not visit port

We did not want to.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Excellent place to go. Lots of different shops to see and we went on an excursion. The excursion was well worth the price. Our guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Good place to go.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
This was not actually a port, but we cruised through. The glaciers were fantastic to see. They had rangers on board that were giving reports and you could also talk with them and ask any questions you may have had.

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

5 out of 5
This one had a big shopping area as soon as you get off the ship. We went on an excursion and again the guide was friendly, funny and knowledgeable.

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
The bus ride from the port to town was 15 dollars. But it was well worth it. The bus driver gave us information about the town and it was like an excursion in itself. The town is really great too and wonderful and old stuff to see. The only downfall was that we got there after 7PM and alot of the local shops were closed.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We got off quickly and left in a timely manner.
