Seeing the panama canal was great and very interesting. That is what we wanted to see. The excursions we book not so good. We may look else where when looking for excursions. Do not book a cruise on the SUN.

The food was bad on the buffets, everything was way over cooked. They felt if you add more sauce it will cover the dryness of the food. The Main dinning room was ok we ate a lot of fish. We are there when ever possible breakfast lunch and dinner. We noticed the servers asking folks if they like something else because what they were eating was not good. They only had, the buffet and 2 main dining room for complimentary eating, really for 18 days not other options. Sports bar wit one sport channel. Soccer

They did have some entertainment around the ship, the entertainment at night was fine but lacking what we seen on other ship and curise lines.

We normal meet our cabin Seward, never met him the whole time were on the ship.

We were on 9 , they kept have toilets breaking and toilet water in the hallways. Our balcony door would not close tightly so it whistled a lot at night when the wind was blowing. We asked them to look at it and the slapped up some weather-stripping. It di stop the noise.

Our cabin was clean, we did not spend that much time in the cabin.
Ship tip
Do not sail on this ship. The excursions we book through NCL we bad, we tried speak with the excursion folks but they were just rude.

So you did not like the excursions, so you recommend not to sail on this ship. It seems you did not do your due diligence. If you did, you would have known that the Sun is a small older ship without all the amusement trappings, it's an old time cruise experience
