Review summary

We couldn't have asked for a better cruise. It was nice having longer times in ports! The weather was unbelievable for the time of year we visited. The crew were all attentive and pleasant. The cabin was great. The food was presented well and plentiful. Our cabin was cold for most of the trip as there was a problem with the heating/ air conditioning system. They eventually got it fixed. Love the smaller ships. Found the entertainment to be less than on past NCL cruises we've taken. Embarkation and disembarkation were flawless. All in all, loved our cruise. We are already looking forward to another cruise with NCL. Possibly the same cruise next year with a back to back to the Panama Canal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Staff was fantastic. No wait in any food area. Food was presented well. Variety in main dining rooms could be better.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Being a small ship there were no frill activities. Fitness center was great. Pools and hot tubs looked nice but obviously too cold to use in Alaska in October. :)

Entertainment

Enjoyed the comedian. Didn't attend any other stage shows

Children's Programs

We had no children with us.

Service and Staff

All ship personnel were outstanding. All very friendly and outgoing.

Ship Quality

Common areas were well maintained. The atrium area wasn't as open and grand as some other ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was fantastic. Very comfortable. Plenty of storage. Loved having a balcony. Wish there was an electrical outlet by the bed but it was nice to have a USB port there.

We live in the area. Walked to the ship from the ferry dock.

Sitka, Alaska

Didn't do an excursion. Walked around the town. Friendly people. Lots of closed businesses due to last cruise of the year. Loved that it wasn't crowded. Pleasant.

Cruise Glacier Bay

Glacier Bay was magical. Perfect weather. Captain got us pretty close to the glacier. Couldnt ask for better.

Skagway, Alaska

Most businesses were closed. It was cold. To be expected in October in Alaska. We didn't do an excursion. Just enjoyed the town.

Juneau, Alaska

We went to the salmon bake for an excursion. It wasn't as good as it had been in the past. We wanted to ride the tram but it was 50 dollars which we felt was too expensive. Great experience though just walking around the town.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Loved this port. Pleasantly surprised. Saw whales and sea lions. Had a great lunch. Great atmosphere.

KETCHIKAN (WARD COVE), ALASKA

No excursion taken. Many stores closed down. Was a bit disappointed the dock was no longer right downtown. 7 mile bus ride to the town. But it all went smoothly. Very nice welcoming center.

Victoria, British Columbia

No excursion taken. Beautiful day. Bus ride into town was expensive for a one mile ride but we were grateful it was offered.
