Review summary

Having the Norwegian Sun as our travelling hotel made this trip so convenient.  Although it is an older ship without many of the amenities that the new ships have, it was small enough to get us closer to the glaciers than the bigger ships could. We had wonderful excursions that we booked through Norwegian.

The upgrades to 4 specialty restaurants made meal time fun and they were fabulous!  The only criticism we have is the food in the standard restaurants was very disappointing.    We would definitely recommend paying the difference to eat every dinner at the speciality restaurants.

Cabin was small and dated but very clean. Only used to sleep in. Most days off the ship on excursions.

Imagine having the same amenities on the Sun, but increase the passengers to 4,000. That is the Breakaway. I'll take the Sun and it's sister ships any day.

I was on the Sun last Halloween in Mexican Riviera. Loved it!
