Probably the most beautiful scenery of the entire trip. Huge snow-capped mountains on each side of the inlet. Beautiful cascades from the melting snow caps all along the way.

best part of the cruise. We had poor weather, but it was still awesome. And believe it or not, there was no extra charge for this!

The rough water conditions prevented us from seeing the Sawyer Glacier, we went another route and the alternate glacier we saw was wonderful. It was really nice that the NCL captain and crew had a back up plan in this situation.

Over 50 years ago at Grammar school in the United Kingdom one learnt about Glaciers as part of "O" level course in Geography. Until yesterday it was so much theory, true, one had seen TV travelogues and photographs but seeing the spectacular scenery along with Dawes Glacier and the other smaller glaciers up close in the Endicott Arm was awe inspiring. Watching the small icebergs floating in sea, one made a quick check to make sure the Captain of the Norwegian Jewel was not called Edward Smith! ( For those in Trivia, Edward Smith was Captain of the Titanic!!!) thankfully Captain Freddricksen and his crew took the Norwegian Jewel very close to Dawes Glacier and then by slowly turning the ship though 180 degrees ensured that all of the passengers had the opportunity of viewing the Glacier up close. Along with seeing whales from the ship viewing the Dawes Glacier was the highlight of our cruise.
