Review summary
This was the worst cruise we had ever been on. We are gold ladatude members, so it is not the first time on NCL.
We sailed with NCL before, in fact we are latitudes gold members. It has been a couple of years ago we last sailed, in fact it was 2011. We don't know if NCL has really gone downhill or the Sun is a bad ship.
The food was terrible. The menu choices lousy. The menu was very repetitive. This was sold to me as a 14 day cruise, the menu was repeated the second week. The tolets were far and few in between. They were very small. If you could not find a handicapped it was impossible to function with a small scooter in one. For example the main dinning room had only three outside. A ladies, a men's and a handicapped. This was good compared to the other dining room. It had a men's and women's all the way on the other side of the floor.
Gangways were not suitable for scooters and wheelchair. There were a lot of high doorway thresholds.
Information was very hard to find and when found hard to understand. Signage was terrible. The crew spoke very poor English. The crew was poorly trained and did not know thier job. The exception was our cabin Stewart.
Individual entertainers were very good, production was very bad.
We need to find out somehow if this is the NCL of today or just the Sun. At this point my wife and I are taking NCL off our cruise list.
