This was our first time cruising with NCL and the freestyle program. If you are used to traditional seating from previous cruises and like it; this is difficult to get used to. We were traveling alone and were told they did not accept reservations for two in the dining rooms. We were told two were never a problem to be seated. This meant waiting in line like you were at an "Outback Steakhouse" with a beaper in your hand unless you hurried down to dinner to be there first. I am not used to that on a cruise. You never see the same waiter twice or get to know anyone at your table. I missed that. Obviously the upside is you can go anytime you like. I wasn't worth the trade off for us. It is much less personalized.

Overall impression of the ship was ok. I have been on 6 cruises and this was probably the worst one. Itinerary was changed several times due to hurricane. Time of departure was delayed by 4 hrs. When we finally got into the cabin, bathroom was not cleaned, remote control for the tv was not functioning properly. Food quality was ok, breakfast was ok, rolls were very hard. No other option for drinks other than iced tea and water. No juices or punch was provided during lunch and dinner hrs. Entertainment wasn't the very best. Comedian was horrible, shows were again...ok, not the best and I guess it could have been the worst. There should be alot more entertainment available.

You could tell the ship is old but at the same time it's age had nothing to do with the fun and freedom that made this cruise great. Very upset that we didn't get to go to the original destination, due to weather, but it would of been nice if we would of gotten some kind of credit to our account. It did not happen and we we're very upset about that, if we would have cancelled the cruise we would of had fees

Larger than people reviewing in the past gave it credit. Clean, updated, sturdy (we went through Tropical Storm Fay)

I have only cruised on one other line,however, in my opinion NCL is the best. Next time I will remember to put my Latitudes #'s on my online reservation so that I would be included in the festivities for Latitudes members.

Ship is pretty worn, problem with the engine did not allow us to get to NCL's private island. Seems like they charge higher fees for several activities (i.e. two "regular" restaurants, 4 where you pay a service fee...one of which is $25 / head). Another example is bingo, it's been a couple years since I've been on a cruise but paing $129 for a session of bingo is a little much especially when the payout if you win is only $200 - $250. The boat is very worn and in need of some upograding. My understanding is that it is going in for an overhaul in September, 2008...much needed. On the plus side, the crew is very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend this cruise to anyone who has cruised before, you would be disappointed.

Our overall impression of the ship was it was fabulous. We didn't know what to expect since this was our first cruise. We recommend a cruise to everyone, especially the Norwegian Spirit. We would like to thank all the staff and crew for all their hard work and efforts to make this cruise a vacation of a lifetime.

The staff was rude at times. I saw a women fall on the ship and none of the staff standing right there helped her up. I had to. They didn't ask her if she was ok. I have sailed on Royal Carribean two times and I loved it. I won,t sail on Norweigan again

the ship itself was nice, it could have had better management and more attention to entertaining the passengers

I was disappointed with the size of the pool for the magnitude of people on board. The pool was consistently crowded and there were never enough lounge chairs at the pool - people would come down early to the pool area and leave their towels on the chair so no one else could lay there all day. Food was great, but very small portions were served in the restaurants. On the other hand, Buffets were always great. - something for everyone. Entertainment was great but not enough activities during the day, especially for the teens.

This ship was average. Nothing really bad about it, but nothing outstanding

Very disappointed in the constant itienary changes and the cancellation of the last stop. Ship was nice and clean. Very courteous staff. Loved our cabin steward Gary!! A bit unorganized getting off on excursions. Food was good. Pools were way over crowded never a lounge chair in sight to relax. Very crowded in the hallways and the elevators.

The cruise was good, although very disappointing for my familes first time. We were on a 50th anniversary celebration for my parents and 15 year for my husband and myself. The changes in the last stop and eventual cancellation was VERY disappointing to all of us and we had no choice but to go due to the celebrations. The ship was way too crowded. Never could get a lounge chair by the pool. Exiting the boat was very unorganized and the first excursion was very unfair to alot of guests. We went to Cocoa Beach FUn and Sun. The resort was not as nice as we expected it to be. We arrived in port late due to a storm and buses were not there for us, we had to stand around for 40 minutes waiting. People heading to Disney should have had their excursion cancelled as there was no time for them to enjoy anything given the time frame. Alot of folks were very upset. The ship was clean and the cabin steward was the best. The kids loved the towel animals. Gary was his name and he was great. The shows were great as well. The food was good and the availability of dining times was great as well. Just way too crowded on elevators, at the pool and in the hallways for excursions and special events. Felt it was very unorganized at times. Not such a great experience for a 1st time cruise for my husband and my kids. I was hoping it would have been better to get them to love cruising vacations but don't think it impressed them all that much.

We were traveling with an 11 month-old and wanted a trip that would be convenient with her. We enjoyed our trip, and our daughter enjoyed the staffs smiles very much. Unfortunately, if you are traveling with a young child I would suggest bringing your own food for the child or picking up food at the buffet for the child before you head to any of the restaurants. We tried to be thoughtful and eat at off times as to not interupt other guests. On 2 occasions it took over 45 minutes to receive our breakfast order, and the same occured for dinner in the main dining room. I would have expected that when we ordered an egg or a meal for our daughter that it would've arrived at our table as soon as they could, not 45 minutes later. Our daughter was as patient as an 11 month old could be, but often after eating 4 pieces of bread from the bread basket she was no longer hungry and ready to go by the time our food arrived.

I've been on many cruises in my travels. This is the 4th cruise I've taken my two teenage daughters on. They rated it a 2 out of 4 with 4 being the highest.

This was my second cruise with Norwegian. It was again a great trip, though choosing to go to the Bahamas in the summer was perhaps not a good choice. I loved the free-style dining, though I did feel there needed to be more restaurant choices that did not require an additional fee. The free room service was wonderful and every crew member from housekeeping to the captain were always smiling and greeted you warmly every time they passed by you. They were extremely polite and kind and very, very helpful. I enjoyed the different types of entertainment available in different parts of the ship.
