Great cruise. Loved that it had enough sea days to rest up between ports.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Did not do any "specialty" restaurants. Ate in the 2 main dining rooms, pleasant staff and portion sizes were sufficient. Menu was same for both rooms. Also ate in the buffet.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Trivia sessions, shows, group activities

Chose to skip some of the entertainment. Magician duo was okay for first few acts, but then each one after that was repetitive with different music and outfits. Lost interest and left. Comedian juggler was really good. Elements show was AWESOME!!

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

Found all to be friendly and willing to assist in any way.

Ship Quality

Areas were clean, but the ship is dated. Heard the ship is to undergo a full rehab in January.

Cabin / Stateroom

Comfortable and pretty standard size for ships. Only con was there is only 1 outlet in the main cabin. Thankfully we travel with a multi-plug adapter.

Ports of call

Cobh (Cork), Ireland

NCL Excursion: "Blarney Castle & Cork Orientation". Our tour leader Eleanor was very informative and cheerful. 35-40 min bus ride to castle. No interest in climbing stairs to kiss stone, so we opted for walking the various paths around the castle.

Dublin, Ireland

4 out of 5
NCL Excursion: "Dublin Highlights". Most of time on bus throughout the city. Got off at church and gardens.

Belfast, Northern Ireland

4 out of 5
NCL Excursion: "Giants Causeway". Had a good amount of time walking the causeway.

Reykjavik, Iceland

4 out of 5
NCL Excursion (day 1): "The Golden Circle" Tour leader Margaret informative. Enjoyed the falls and walking the tectonic plate. NCL Excursion (day 2): "Scenic Reykjavik"... Tour leader Sven was not that great. I think he struggled with English and therefore did not say much. We had plenty of time to walk on our own from the pier into town prior to taking this excursion and saw most of what was on this tour. Could have easily skipped this excursion!!

Akureyri, Iceland

3 out of 5
NCL Excursion: Akureyri & Santa's House. Pretty scenery, but probably could have skipped this one as well.

Geiranger, Norway

LOVED this port and excursion: NCL "Dalsnibba Mt & Eagle Road". Beautiful bus ride up to the glacier and then over to Eagle road. Great views and with the gangway to the port, we had time to go through the shops. Make sure to stand at front of ship either in or out of the fjord. Many beautiful views and waterfalls.

NCL Excursion: "Land of the Lakes, Valleys & Kjenndal". Loved this excursion. The small boat ride to the glacier and waffles at the restaurant were pleasant. Emerald lake is beautiful. Walk to get even closer to glacier afforded some nice views and pics.

Ijmuiden (Amsterdam), Netherlands

4 out of 5
NCL Excursion: "Amsterdam, the Heart of Holland". Travel through the city and scenic spots, with a canal boat ride.

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

4 out of 5
NCL Excursion: "Romantic Bruges". Tour leader Helga very informative. Lots of walking on this tour throughout the city. Had 1 hour of free time on our own, then a picturesque canal boat ride.

Fastest we've been off a ship. Time of departure called, immediately off ship, found luggage right away and off to the bus for the airport.
