WOW very nice

Eight of us sailed on this ship March 2010, six of us got sick. The cruise itself was good, but the service lacks personality. The servers in the main dining rooms had no smiles and warmth. They looked like they were scared to say or do anything. Service times for the food was long. I ordered a steak one night and they had to go to another dining room to get a-1 steak sauce. I guess Norwegian Cruise Lines wants people to pay extra to dine in one of their ' specialty ' dining rooms. I have sailed with Carnival and the service and food in their regular dining rooms are superb and you don't have to pay extra.

the food was mediocre. the room was not clean. The first day I walked into the shower, there was already a hair in the shower (not mine). The towels had makeup stains on them. They charge you a $12 service charge, even when they don't deserve it. We tried to order room service and each time it was alot later than they said it would (like an hour). The ladies at the front desk were rude. Also, I'm under 21 and can't buy alcohol. the cruise was basically set up that in order to have fun, everyone had to drink and drink more. I was asked over 100 times to buy drinks. When I asked for an ice water, I was given a dirty look.

My overall impression of the ship was good. I enjoyed my cruise and felt as though I didn't need a watch the entire time I was on the cruise.

I recently took a cruise to the Bahamas on the Norwegian Sky. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The balcony room fit two people comfortably. The view and privacy of the balcony was well worth the extra money. The pool on deck was way too small, non heated and overtaken by kids. It would have been nice to allow adults only in the pool. The restaurants onboard were excellent, but it would have been nice not to have a cover charge for each one that wasn't a part of the free style cruising. Overall I'd recommend this ship for a 3-4 day cruise only. Anything longer, I'd suggest another boat or different cruise line.

The ship was older (10 years) not many amenities on board. Staff seemed overworked. Food at the afternoon BBQ's was very economically done ie. hamburgers, hot dogs, a pasta salad. Lighting lamp in our cabin was broken. We had 3 people reserved for our room but only 2 of everything was continually left even after we mentioned this to the staff. Mandatory tips were put on our bill for drinks. I myself feel that forced and "mandatory" tips defeat the purpose of a tip. A $12.00 a day, per person ,service fee was put on our bill and no mention of this was given to us when we booked the cruise. Basically the entire cruise seemed a watered down version of what a cruise should be and we have cruised other lines.

The ship was beautiful, the staff was great.

The interior of the ship was average, nothing spectacular. The rooms were small, and I thought the taste and variety of the food would have been out of the world! The ports and staff were wonderful and friendly. I also felt there wasn't enough deck activity or entertainment. #rd time cruiser...stick to CARNIVAL!!!

My 20 yo daughter and I shared an inside cabin - cheapest on board and perfectly fine for our needs! Cabin steward was great - did her job well each day. Beds comfy, bathroom fine, closets accomodating. The night time dancing and entertainment was great! We really enjoyed the shows and then danced the night away. Shore excursions were nice - we froze on the first day snorkeling but the fish were plentiful and the boat crew in Freeport quite nice. Nassau was excellent - swam with the stingrays and lounged on BlackBeard Cay's beautiful beach then shopped all afternoon. Stirrup Cay was a blast - sunned, snorkeled, ate a great BBQ buffet with no extra charge and had a great last day. Cons - lots of charges: drinks 8-10 buck, pop 4 bucks I think, snorkeling gear $40 at Stirrup Cay Food on the ship was good - lots a fresh fruit, great salad bar and great made to order omelets.

I loved the entertainment and the activities provided. The cruise director was top notch. I was disappointed in the wait staff and how unfriendly they were. The food was average and sometimes not so good. The breakfast buffet was the best of all choices. I was disappointed that there were no real children's pool areas.

The overall ship was well maintained and the crew for the most part were friendly. The food was good but not great. I do feel that alot of the focus was placed on Spring Breakers. This was my first cruise and I would use Noreweign again.

Just sailed to the Bahamas on the Norwegian Sky and it was simply wonrdeful. The ship is in very good conditions, clean, and really comfortable. The crewmembers are really wonderful, always willing to help, especially the cabin stweardesses. They are all very helpful.

The Sky was beautiful, clean, and inviting. The food was amazing and the staff always eager and helpful. The layout was a little difficult with our room being on a half-level but once we figured it out, it was very easy.

The ship although not the newest it was in good shape. The exterior stateroom was larger than I expected (been on a few cruises) and the diversity of the staff and activities was refreshing. The drink prices were not too bad and the music was great. I loved the pool party. I did not attend the toga party but I am sure it was fun and they provided the sheets! The ship had something to offer groups of all ages and varying interests. I liked the freestyle dining concept because it gave us the freedom to eat when we wanted and with whomever we wanted.

We had been warned that this ship was older and would not be up to standards. That was not true at all. It was a beautiful ship and extremely clean. I loved the freestyle dining where we were not tied down to a meal time.

Overall the ship was beautiful, the rooms well appointed, the staff attentive and friendly, the food very good. We had a balcony room and we loved the way the balconies extended over the side of the ship unlike on some other ships where the room is set back from the side of the ship and the balcony is flush with the ship. When the balcony hangs over the side, the views are much better. The swimming pools were ice cold, though, and there were not enough hot tubs. The specialty restaurants were just so-so, and the hostess at the Italian restaurant was downright rude the night we were there (all the other staff was consistently friendly and helpful, she was the only one).

The ship was amazing, All but one staff member was awesome. Someone should look into the Fitness Staff. The guy said "If you speak english, you are likely going to be a fat ass". Yes, he said this. His temper was terrible, and his patience was zero, zip. But back to the ship - food and wait staff were amazing. The entertainment was firts in class. I recommend Norweigian Sky if you have kids.

I hated the fact that the upstairs dinning room workers are ready to take your plate before you finish eating.

It was very nice. The environment was exemplary and the staff were helpful. This was a birthday present for my wife and her first cruise. The different shows and parties at the pool were nice. the drinks were not too unreasonable and getting on and off the ship was a breeze.
