1. Get onboard as early as you can. Immediately go to the Entertainment Reservations line and get in it. There are paper schedules along the line so get them and plan your first and second choices for each timeslot for your whole cruise. Then immediately go to the Dining Reservations line. Couples should split up so they can go immediately to both lines with the person going to the usually shorter dining reservations line taking both passenger's key cards and a copy of the entertainment schedule. Once that person has gotten dining reservations, he/she can join the person in the Entertainment Reservations line.

This ship isn’t your typical NCL ship. It’s meant for a somewhat low key, relaxing, vacation with options to keep you busy if that’s your wish. It’s not really child friendly, but there’s still some things that they can do. Venues are smaller and spread throughout the ship. I think it helps with crowds. The only times places are crowded is the restaurants at peak meal time. If you’re not flexible and are looking for typical NCL cruise, this may not be for you. Do your research before booking.

If you haven’t reserved for a specialty dining, show in advance, or spa reservations make sure you go to guest services right upon embarking to get availability. Space is very limited. Also, take your phone/camera with you to breakfast. As you look out at the sunrise, you may just see sharks or dolphins beside your ship!

Do not pick the ship if you want a big ship like this, go Royal Caribbean the oasis, the allure in that category. This cannot compare at all. Very disappointing.

The best way to enjoy this ship is to book a suite in the Haven. That made all the difference.
