Review summary

As a first time cruiser, I really had hoped for a better experience. There were a lot of pros and cons.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was great! Check in went quickly and smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food & drinks were great! But everything other than The Local seemed to close so early.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
If I could give this 0 stars, I would. The pools on board are TINY. I don't know what Norwegian was thinking making 3 pools so small, with a max capacity of 20 people per pool, on such a large ship. Also literally EVERYONE kept getting stuck in the clear part of the drop slide. Not to mention, these activities also closed very early.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The shows were good, but there was a serious lack of night life. The bars and lounges either closed early, or were tiny and couldn't accomodate a large number of people.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was amazing! They were all so friendly and polite.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship design and decor was beautiful. The cabins were also clean and beautiful. The layout was too closed though. You couldn't walk straight through any deck, and had to go all around and up or down stairs just to get to the other side.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was great! Very clean and comfortable.

Ship tip

Be prepared to not be able to get into the pools.

Ports of call

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

3 out of 5
The private island was great. I chose to snorkel, which overall was alright. Would have been better, if I had had better equipment. I had to come up from under water every couple minutes to dump water out of my goggles. It didn't matter how tight they were, they still leaked water into them.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
The disembarkation was a complete cluster f. There were no groups at all, and people got sent in all different directions and different lines to get off of the ship. No one had a clue what was going on.
