Review summary

Thank you for the experience, a little additional communication in some of the included dining areas and organization to disembarkation would have made this review a 5.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Arrived early and quickly checked in, there were 15+ agents at the desk. The area was slightly cramped and if it had been crowded it may have been challenging to get past other passengers. A wider area in front of the desks would be a plus.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Indulge hall needs more communication-it was very confusing on day 1 which caused frustration. Service in the Locale was almost non-existent, after 10 minutes we saw 1 server delivering drinks and ran to that table to ask how they got her to come and take the order. It was another 10 minutes to flag her down to place an order, this was around 12:30 so prime lunch time. Hudson's is a beautiful restaurant and the service was fantastic. I enjoyed my entrees both nights especially the Rack of Lamb. My traveling companion is a vegetarian and wasn't impressed with the flavors of the offerings, she found them to be bland and one dish was cold. She did enjoy the lunch buffet on day 2 where there were multiple veggie dishes offered. We visited Onda on night 3 and that was incredible, the flavors were complex and delicious with a beautiful presentation. The desserts were out of this world, best Tiramasu I have ever enjoyed.

The Local Bar & Grill

1 server for the entire location, almost impossible to order and spinach dip was not hot and chips were stale. Had fish and chips and they were excellent.

Onda By Scarpetta

5 out of 5

Exquisite food and service, restaurant was only partially full from 7-8:30 yet it was very challenging to get a reservation. Try a walk up if you can't get in on the app, you may get lucky.

Indulge Food Hall

Food was tasty, very confusing on first visit.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We purchased a day pass for the spa and enjoyed every moment. The aromatherapy steam room was our favorite and we did try all of the thermal rooms. Jets hadn't been installed yet into the large pool so that was disappointing but still overall an excellent experience and more than enough heated chairs or day beds for everyone even when it was busy. The stadium was included and had some fun games, we spent some time playing ping pong and the cases on the table with the equipment was a nice touch instead of having to search for paddles and balls. The Galaxy was extensive and really cool, it could add up quickly though on a week cruise, every activity had a hefty $15 fee attached so a family with older kids/teens should expect to spend upwards of at least $200 per kid for Virtual reality/mini golf/speedway/escape room activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Donna Summer brought me to tears, the actresses were spectacular with phenomenal voices and wonderful story telling, they received multiple standing ovations and were well deserved. The band at Syd Normans was also fantastic, on night 2 the rendition of Janis Joplin was electrifying. This team has incredible chemistry and are well worth the standing room only. Thank you to the DJ on night one for the eclectic mix during the 80's party, we enjoyed dancing to everything from Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, Footloose, Salt and Pepper and so much more, hadn't heard Bust a Move in years!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward Orlando was attentive and lovely, the servers in the main dining room, buffet and specialty restaurant were wonderful. The locale was the only area that lacked service and guest services was uninformative when asked about where to go for our morning excursion on the island. FYI find an NCL rep to sign in on deck6 or 7 in the atrium.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
every space was designed beautifully and made you want to take a picture and spend some time relaxing in the area. There were lovely little nooks everywhere and the decor was modern and warm with comfort in mind.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was very pretty, LOVED the chairs on the balcony that reclined. The beds are not the most comfortable as they were a bit hard. plenty of closet space and nice size hairdryer in the cabin. Loved the USB plugs in the base of the bedside lamps made it very easy to charge phones and pods.

Ship tip

Sign up for dining and shows immediately upon boarding or you will miss out.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

always hectic to get in and out but it's one of the biggest. was able to grab an uber on the way home in under 5 minutes of disembarking.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

4 out of 5
Zip lining was enjoyable, the path with the nets was extremely challenging and I don't recommend to anyone not in really good shape. Plenty of chairs and the island was well kept and beautiful.

Disembarkation

WHAT A MESS. Please fix this immediately, there was no organization and they had multiple lines snaking past the elevators on both sides. Took an hour to get thru with little direction and everyone was frustrated and angry.
